I loved de Blob. It was a really unique game. I'm skeptical about a sequel though.

No bad for a homebrew game! An iphone version would be awesome.

Not really, I like writing short stories, and I have been doing that until I opened Google Chrome, and when I saw this article I thought I would free form and I did.

I sort of agree, but from a business branding point of view, it was brilliant. Sci Fi is generic enough that it could not be trademarked for them since it is a genre, but SyFy is uniqually their own, yet still convey's the core content of the channel (except for maybe all the frackin' non sci fi WWE garbage. If WWE is your thing. great, but it belongs on a different channel.).

Come on Chilly Willy, you got to have the WWE on SyFy. No WWE would be like G4 without Cops showing for 23 out of the 24 hours in a day.

Edit: uniquely was spelled wrong and I also put a period when I meant to put a comma at the end there.

Joystiq, we've been asking literally for YEARS! Are we ever going to get an edit button?

Bring it back... and bring it to the next-gen/current-gen consoles, whatever they're called now. It didn't rely on the Wiimote nearly enough to justify the exclusivity.

don't worry... if there's a company that can milk a franchise it's THQ...

I know it's not the most accurate source, but it's the only one i know. Also last update was about half a year ago but i don't expect it sold many copies in that time. All in all, it sold quite well if we go by those numbers.

Yes.
de Blob is awesome. One of the most joyful, fun games I've played in forever, even today. It's sort of like a Nintendo-made game, in a lot of ways. Heck, if it weren't for the character design, I'd have believed you if you told me it WAS made by Nintendo.

It sold around 700,000 copies, last we officially heard.

I adored this game to no end. It's just a fun game to screw around in and do nothing in particular, just to listen to the music.

The only thing I imagine I'd like to see them do in a sequel is to have better sound banks for the music. The original's music was pretty good, but it could have been a lot better, too.

I know a sequel was inevitable but this is just unnecessary milking.

If a lot of licensing is what it takes to get this IP some notoriety, i approve.

Though a big licensing push didn't help Viva Pinata at all...

I still can't believe something as nice looking as Viva Pinata has been surpassed on the 360 yet... sure there's realistic, but damn did Viva Pinata's bright colors and glow just POP out of the screen and smack you in the face.

...Viva Pinata was my definition of "next gen graphics"... not Gears of War.
