I've been playing the Facebook game as well. I saw that Microsoft released it and thought I would give it a try. It's a great way to waste time while "working" and it's also got me much more interested in the XBLA release, it's true purpose realized.

Heh, I think the crecendo is Perfect Dark. The Game Room is like the stupid, unnecessary ending that also sucks.

For 80 points I can pick up Miner Dig Deep or Solar from the indie games marketplace. The arcades like the worst idea ever especially when XBLA indie games have fallen so low...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Microsoft start pushing Indie prices up soon, just like Arcade titles keep getting higher.

Though Perfect Dark would seem to be an exception to that rule.

microsoft doesn't set prices for indie games. they could raise the price points that are selectable but, there's nothing to stop a developer from picking the lowest price point.

It's simple. Make up something about 'increased distribution costs', then raise the allowable minimum price point.

First the extended 3-year RROD warranty, then Perfect Dark for $10? It's an embarrassment of riches! ;)

Oh Well That's nice.
So how about actually releasing those Avatar Clothes MS that you gave dates for.

No operation flashpoint stuff came out on the 11th and it's the 16th and I see no RE5 clothes either

If it's resident Evil I do.
I have all 3 versions of the game 100% complete.
Might as well get the other stuff for it.

Yeah I'm curious about what they're going to have for the Resident Evil stuff myself.

I have a bunch of friends that made fun of the clothing, yet when I see them online these days, I'm noticing a number of them are dressed up with items from Assassin's Creed 2, Madden, Halo, or Bioshock 2.

And I have to admit, Forza 3 was the one that got me to finally break down and grab something for my avatar.

It's like we're all slowly being assimilated.

i played scrap metal at CES. it's a cool game but i don't know about $15 cool. it'd be a definite at $10. also, i'm a bit disappointed they've selected 50 cents as the per play price. i think 25 cents would've been better. however, $5 for both pc and 360 versions is nice. cross platform purchases ftw!

Game room is something that seems like it would normally be right up my alley, but the fact that I have a plethora of classic games in my digital collection that I already overpayed for that aren't in any way compatible with similar or exact replicas in the Game Room alienates me.

What I'd like to know is whatever happened to Joyride?? They made a huge fuss about it at last year's E3 and here we are 9 months later and still nothing... Anyone??

I had forgotten all about that game. I remember it was supposed to be free with lots of small crap to buy. It seemed fun

Yeah, I brought this up recently too. I suspect it's still being worked on, retooled, or polished.

The one thing that struck me about Joy Ride, even though it looked like a lot of fun, the next day Sony presented something similiar at E3, but their version seemed highly customizable in the vein of LittleBigPlanet. I'm wondering if that somehow reshaped Joy Ride.

The other thing it could be is timing of release. There's certain times of the year where I think content may grab more attention that other times of year. Summer of XBLA comes to mind.

One thing is for certain--- I'm still highly interested in Joy Ride if it is ever released.

If Joy Ride does come out, it should be out by March. Sadly it wasn't even mentioned in these announcements. Its been pretty hush hush since the last E3 which is kind of weird if you ask me.

I'm not really interested in Game Room if its just a bunch of really old classics that I already own in another form.

Even though we are at least a year away from seeing a release I have to wonder if there will be another pricing model that includes 360 and Windows Mobile 7 since that new phone operating system syncs with your xbl account and they have mentioned that some games that you play on your phone will add to your gamer score.

Does Microsoft have any idea how much games retail for on the iPhone App Store?

*Remembers how many people buy XBLA games at much more then they're really worth*

Scratch that. Do the idiots who buy XBLA games know how much games retail for on the iPhone App Store? *Sigh* I give up. People are actually going to pay $3 to play an original copy of Ms. Pac Man with absolutely no upgrades what-so-ever when you can find an almost identical flash version for free in millions of places across the internet.

God I hate stupid people. You ruin it for those who realize the value of a dollar and don't (a) have a gratuitous amount of money or (b) have mommy and daddy buy everything for them.

This is a poor argument.
1. The iPhone carriers asks you to pay separately for data and SMS. In case you didn't know, it's a rip-off.
2. For the full price of an iPhone you could get several devices that together (or even a netbook) that could do more and lunch for a week.
3. For free I can walk over to my shelf and play Perfect Dark on the N64 cartridge I bought years ago

Maybe you're being downvoted because "No upgrades whatsoever" is totally wrong?

There's achievements, scoreboards, challenges and the ability to rewind the games Forza style if you screw up. (presumably impacting your score)

And you're stupid enough to believe that's till worth $3?

My point still stands.

Looks like Xbox took the page down. You guys didn't mention the 400 pt rebate or the 1 mo free Live.

"We suspect you’ll want to own them all, which is why we’re giving back 400 Microsoft Points to everyone that does. And if you’re already an Xbox LIVE Gold subscriber we’ll also give you one month extra free."
