Did you expect any less? Did you expect that there would be a movie called Toy Story 3 and that there wouldn't be an Avalanche Software-developed tie-in game available on Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, DS and PSP? Oh, yeah, there's an iPhone/iPod Touch app too that should arrive with the others on June 15.
For all our macho posturing, we're actually intrigued by a touted "Toy Box" mode which is supposed to be an "open-world, sandbox style of play." What does Disney mean by that? Well, according to the release, it's "designed to replicate the universal experience of playing with toys as a kid" and "brings cowboys, space rangers, dinosaurs, and little green aliens together to create adventures only possible in a child's imagination. Kids, families and fans will dive into Andy's toy box with creativity driving their own stories and adventures."
... Guys, if you haven't designed that part yet, just say so. It's OK, you've got plenty of time.

Starfox, it takes more than one vote to make it go up... Hence, why you didn't see a change before

Traceur, I think he's saying he wanted to be the vote that breaks the camels back and now he's achieved the dream.

I watched Up on the opening weekend at the late show. It was completely sold out and I don't think there was one person under the age of 20 in there. I love Pixar movies and always look forward to seeing them in the theaters. They really are ageless films.

@ Uncle Jesse
Yea, I completely agree. It's pretty cool that there are still movies being released that can capture the imagination of children and adults alike. Pixar should really be proud of themselves.

I figured when you reach your twenties, you stop caring what other people think. I'm 24 and you better believe I'm seeing this movie. I also got a pedicure this weekend. What about it? (it was for my girlfriend...

My grandma gave both my cousin and I a copy of th game for Christmas. He had it on Sega and I had it on my SNES. I thought they both looked great, but when it came to the first person levels I thought his looked much better.

That was the first game I thought of after reading this post. I didn't get many games as a kid but I got that one so I loved it! Never finished it though...

Don't feel bad for not beating it. Back in the day you had lives and continues - run out and it's back to level one. That's why in some ways I feel like games have gotten a tad too easy. There is little consequence and no real need to fight like it matters. Meh - different subject for a different generation of gamers.

Movie based games can be good sometimes, kung Fu Panda is a good example. I used to love Toy Story as a kid, I hope this turns out good.

Toy Story 1 was an awesome game, Toy Story 2 was a decent game. Please, PLEASE be good, TS3, don't fall into the trap that all three-quels seem to fall into.

And even though you didn't ask, I would like to confirm that my name and picture are indeed derived from Toy Story.

Have you not watched Toy Story recently, Perfect Dark lady? I watched it a few weeks ago and was pretty shocked by the textures, aliased edges and fairly low-poly models.

I am interested in this game. I was a fan of the first 2 movies. I think it could be fun to revisit my youth. Also no doubt, the trophies are gonna be easy :-) lol
