It's like Bayonetta's hair, but on a REALLY sharp stick.

Also, the game is similar to Monster Hunter, but to me, it seems a lot more fun. The way the weapon changes into a gun, and the demons you hunt down with your team are quite fun for a portable game!

Hey JC, the link to the demo is malformed. There's an extra "http://" in front.

When they localize the game in the U.S., they might consider naming the magical weapons something other than "Jinkies." Because people may get the wrong impression over here, and believe they'll be summoning Velma from Scooby-Doo.

While I agree in America it will set some weirdness amongst people, a Jinki in Japan does literally mean "God Vessel". So it's fitting under the right context. Otherwise it just sounds like a Teletubby or something.

In the words of Jonny Bravo:

"Jinkies? Isn't that like, a breakfast cereal?"

"Jinki" hardly sounds like an appropriate label for a sword of that caliber.

Unless the literal translation for "Jinki" is "GREAT ODIN'S RAVEN, THAT'S A GIANT FLIPPIN' HARBINGER OF MONSTER DEATH!"

If they didn't do a great job of drawing that one girl's jigglies then I would be all over this for being typical campy weaboo turn-on standard fare.

The name and premise reminds me a lot of Soul Eater.

Can't they just call that thing a "God Eater"?

What, and thus have the game named after the main weapon of the game, or the main weapon named after the game? My god that's crazy, no one else has ever done that befo...

nevermind...

I'll definitely try that demo out. I couldn't stand Monster Hunter because of the control scheme, especially the camera, but this looks very cool so far. If it works well, I'll definitely put it on my "Games To Buy After Q2" list this year.

... I didn't realize until I read some of the comments that that thing in the picture is supposed to be a sword. Oh, well. A new action RPG for the PSP is always exciting, and I hope this is a good one.
