All this new characters and fixes and stuff makes me wonder what was the point of even releasing SFIV if they where gonna release the same game but better after it.
Maybe next year we'll get a turbo revision and after that a super ultra turbo one. Sheeesh.
ps: I'm definitely buying this if makoto is in it :D

This one hopes Francis Diakowsky voices Dudley in this game once again, because it's probably the best VO for the man. Nobody can say Dudley's legendary lines like him.
As for Ibuki and Makoto, hmmm.... it's going to be hard finding a decent English VO for them...

I think he is talking about high ranking tournament players... Ken really didn't get much game time in high skill gameplay. Ed Ma (one of the best US Ken players) has long since switch to Akuma for high level matches. Hopefully Ken may be tweeked alil to make him more suitable to the big bouts.

Screw Capcom. I don't care what they say, I think they could have updated the original game via DLC/patches. It wouldn't be a big deal if they were really going to sell this for cheap like they originally announced, but they've already backed out of that and said the pricing is undetermined (as far as I know.) Next year they're going to do the same thing all over again. Uncool!

Well, in a recent Q&A with one of the devs (Nakky I think), she said that the game had to be re-designed from scratch, so it would be difficult to have as DLC.
But hey, unless you bought SF4, I don't think it's a big deal to spend $39.99 on this game. I, for one, decided to skip the first entry, and now will buy this game for the SF3 characters. Sure, there is a 100% chance SF4 V3 will be confirmed in a few years (or months, this is Capcom we're talking about), but as long as I have fun with them (and in a lesser extent Cody and Guy), I don't care.
Now stop whining and get hyped... like a gentleman.

Well I can afford to bitch cause I'm not that interested in the series. I was really hyped for SF4, and think it's a good game, but didn't end up playing it much. I think releasing updated versions of a game on disc in this day and age is outdated and just a money grab unless it truly is discounted. I don't know of another developer who's doing this besides Capcom, most "game of the year deluxe editions" contain add-ons that are available for download to people who own the original. If the game really is absolutely unpatchable or some huge amount of gigs (I'm still skeptical,) then I guess there's no other option but they should at least cut the price to $30 or at least provide a discount for people who can somehow prove they own the original. I don't expect huge fans who are hyped about the updates to agree with me, like I said I'm not excited for the game so I'm probably gonna be more critical of anything that I don't like or seems like a ripoff.

Super Street Fighter 4 isn't just added content. The whole game is retweaked so that everything works. SF4 and SSF4 have a different balance, and balance being added via DLC would mean changing the game entirely, or make it an option, but I think thats kinda stupid.
SF4 fans will still play SF4 because the balance is different. It's the same reason why people stillp lay Melee when Brawl is out and superior. Now if it's something like RE5 Gold Edition, that isn't game changing content, thats actually additional content. It's a very different type of content

So the first release was a beta. Everyone else who rebalances their game provides it as a free update, look at Uncharted 2 or practically every other online game. If they really couldn't provide this via DLC they should set up some kind of discount program for previous owners. I suspect this game will be full price, too. Like I said before, screw Capcom. They did these rereleases all the time back in the day when new discs were the only way of doing things, and they're going to continue doing it now to make more money instead of actually making the next game like everyone else would have. Same thing with RE5, but at least they're going to provide some of it via DLC.

All of RE5 Gold Edition's content is going to be available for DLC for the original games owners. Gold Edition is just a "Game of the Year" version that has the extra content for people that didn't have the original game but want all the new content on the disc. Seriously, do some research before you act like you know what you're talking about.

I said Capcom did rereleases back in the day and they're still doing it now instead of making new games. I gave RE5 as an example of this and then gave them credit for providing the new content as DLC also.
