i played that on my friends ipod. it was actually amazingly annoying, the "buttons" took up half the screen and once i got my fingers on it i could barely see anything.

Meh.

I'd buy a PSP version, but I don't know why I would want to play it on an iPhone.

Any smartphone game reaching farther than Bejeweled tends to be pretty gimmicky for me. This is probably no exception.

Yeah I would really enjoy a psp version a lot more.
It seems like an easy choice to go from PS3 to PSP rather than to iPhone
but the iPhone version was actually very fun and surprisingly addicting

Ugh, for some reason my post I had before this was filled with paragraphs of crap but it refuses to post I guess...

I really just said that the iPhone IS a viable gaming platform, proof is that I play it more than my (maybe more than 5) consoles combined. And FPS games don't suck on it, all except this one. The control scheme helps you out too much and just completely sucks.

I play it more then the big consoles cause Im barely home. Shooters don't work. Call of Duty just makes me homesick.

Glad they came out with a demo so I didn't waste the money. Really didn't like this one.

Am I the only one that knows that "tilt to aim" is one of the 3 control schemes? You don't have to swipe your thumb across the screen to aim! Aiming with the accelerometer + moving with the virtual thumbstick = the perfect iphone FPS control scheme. I have more fun playing Nazi Zombies on the iphone than I did playing Medal of Honor: Heroes on the PSP. And did I mention that you can listen to your own music while you're playing? Try doing that on a PSP or a DS!

This is the best game on the app store, hands down.

i can play it, but not for more than 10 minutes or so. now if i had the option for a real controller, it would be totally different. i think the ipad would suit these kinds of games better.

Yeah, I got one of those. It plays all the same games as far as I can tell. Still, I wish I could combine my phone and i-pod together already. Stupid Steve Jobs and his love affair with AT&T. Guess I’m just going to have to glue them together in the meantime.

i absolutely love this... despite all the hate.

I've gotten all the achievements for Nacht and have reached lvl 29 with one other person online.

It's no doubt expensive, but an extremely worthwhile experience.

I feel that newcomers to FPS on iphone will find it very hard to play at first, I didn't have much of a problem adapting to the controls having played N.O.V.A., Doom, and Brothers In Arms.

How is it expensive?

The app store is so much cheaper than actual games.

For example, assassins creed: bloodlines costs like $5 on the app store. IT IS THE EXACT SAME VERSION AS THE DS BUT WITH BUMPED UP GRAPHICS. The DS version costs $30.

Example over.

I agree with you 100%, my fav example of this being GTA: Chinatown Wars

but...
I'm talking about Nazi Zombies specifically, granted, its cheaper than buying W@W, but $15 for two maps? eh.

Nonetheless I love it.
