Resident Evil 5 costume pack suffers a wardrobe malfunction

If you downloaded the new Resident Evil 5 costume pack today expecting the "Heavy Metal" and "Business" costumes, then you might be a bit disappointed. And also a bit dressed in spiky shoulder pads. Instead of the two costumes advertised, the "Costume Pack 1" actually contains the "Fairy Tale" and "Warrior" outfits that were supposed to comprise the "Costume Pack 2" DLC. Surprise!

"This issue is known by Capcom," the publisher assures the inappropriately attired gamers affected by the issue, "and we are currently working with Microsoft for a solution." As for tomorrow's PS3 release of the costume pack, Capcom told Joystiq that it was "still verifying" which costumes will be included.

Well, I doughnut know what you wear to work, but shoulder pads with spikes fits in really well 'round our office.

They certainly help to leeps you awake if you are falling asleep after a heavy lunchtime session.

how about the new game play? when is that available? put on my game last night and the new maps are in red but can't play them, tried going to psn store but nothing there....whats up with that?

Before bickering do some research. The gold edition will have all of this including the game for $50. These DLCs are for people who already own the game.

What are the weapon load outs for these?

The red riding hood outfit is hot, but I wouldn't pay $2 to get it and some lame Chris costume. I don't think I'd pay $1 if they were available individually either. If I was buying gold edition it would be a nice bonus, though.

its better than nothing Spike, though it would be nice later on to bundle all the DLC and other content to a separate disc for those that already have the game. I dunno.

I don't disagree. But if he's selling it for the Gold edition there's no reason to go off the rocker about Capcom.

Paying for costumes, what a joke. Especially considering the DLC pricing was so fair.

If you ask me, the new costumes should have been included in the DLC and then unlocked upon completion of it. You remember that, game industry? Unlocking stuff?

It's even more ridiculous when you pay for a costume and then don't get what you paid for.

Everyone who wants them should snap the costumes up now and then go into download history when they fix it. You may get two for the price of one.

This is totally the heavy metal costume, full-on Judas Priest style. I fail to see the mix-up.

you're thinking of the wrong Rocka Rolla. This is the Warrior of the Wasteland! The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla! THE! Lord Humongous!

I believe Bedrock's comments are more towards the fact that the 360 version of Gold just contains the RE5 disc and DLC codes. Not two separate discs or even one unified disc.

Does this mean the DLC is delayed? Cuz I just checked the PSN and it's not there.

If they had paired Fairy Tale with Heavy Metal I'd buy it. Not interested in Warrior or Business.

So... Whats going to happen to those who purchased this custom pack when the second pack comes out?

I actually want Sheva's Little Red Riding Hood outfit. But making us pay extra by making it a separate DLC and a DLC that does NOTHING at that. I just don't know. I don't want to be an idiot, but Sheva is a temptress and I just got my tribal filling. :(

Yeah no he's right. The 360 version only gets download codes. It's not on the disc.
