GameCulture writes that the game stars a character named "DJ Zed" who, according to Adidas, has five minutes to "run, moon-walk, climb walls, avoid some dodgy-looking thugs, collect power-ups, and pull off insane rooftop-to-rooftop stunts" in order to get on-stage before his set starts. It looks fittingly retro -- see for yourself in the video we've included after the break
Adidas retro kicks come with a retro game

Now here's a shoe-in for the list of the year's best gaming-related clothing: Adidas has brought back its ZX 500 running shoe, and, since it originally hails from the '80s, the gaming inspired design and coloring is a no-brainer ... right? The kicks may not be the coolest part of the deal, either; they come packaged with a combination bracelet/USB flashdrive containing ZX Runner, a PC game based on ... the shoe itself.

yeah, i'm liking things like this, i think it's awesome that companies are packaging in digital content with your real life purchases. it's especially great when the kicks you're getting are awesome too.

I dunno, they kinda look like a kids painting.
Not much to say about the game as you don't see much.

If you took the two seconds to click the link in the post, you'd have been taken to the page for the ZX-500 on the Adidas website and been able to figure this out for yourself. Now you've wasted my time. In any event, they're $90. :P

Please lament your accidental double-post by commenting on one of them instead of creating an entirely new one, thus wasting even more of our time.

Absolutely. If they made adult-sized blinky-shoes, I'd buy that shit IMMEDIATELY.

What's the ZX 500 ?
I'm English and these trainers have the same colour flash and finish of the Sinclair Spectrum ZX range, never heard of a 500 model though.

I have to say I do like these. Takes me back to the days of either typing in several hundred lines of code out of a magazine to play some game or waiting around for 5-8 mins while it noisily loaded off a cassette tape. I had a ZX80, 81, Spectrum 48k, and the '+' model with hard keyboard.
$120 for these in the UK, I think I may have to get some.

Mine just came in today. The flash drive does not actually have a game on it. It has a flash video that then open this page in your browser.
