I kind of wish the video up there actually showed some gameplay. 2 second clips don't really tell me much about a game. If I saw this video without the accompanying post underneath it, I probably wouldn't have cared.

Moddb isn't a development team. The team simply uses a ModDB Mod page to advertise their work. ModDB is a website that promotes all manner of mods.

The actual mod's website is at http://www.hells-reach.com/, and it looks like they don't have an actual name for the team.

Hooray for more misinformation, courtesy of the Joystiq team. It even says on the page linked in the article. "It was created by the Haunted Mod Team" NOT moddb.

Ace job reporting the news accurately by ace reporter Richard Mitchell. I guess its true what they say... never trust a man with two first names.

A video game reporter who doesn't know about moddb? Does anyone do their homework these days? Who hires these hacks? I guess thats the quality you get with a company owned by AOL.

Harsh criticism? Yeah, but they guys behind The Haunted deserve their due credit. Congrats to them!

Indeed they do. The post has been corrected to correctly identify the team responsible. I personally apologize for the error.

These are some really interesting games. I really like the concept of Hazard of making choice. Like Heavy Rain and Portal got smashed together.

I would like to remind y'all that the last (or most public) game that was released by an Unreal-Engine-license-winning team was Damnation.

Keep that in mind.

The actual winner in the last make something unreal contest was Red Orchestra. Damnation got 2nd place. Don't think they won the free license.

Love the headshot in the third picture. It looks like it's exploding from the center. Not being sarcastic, I think it looks cool as shit.

"The winner of the contest of the contest is ModDB"
This made me laugh so hard.

They will have to change the name, there is already a band called "The Haunted"

I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter. The entertainment realms are reasonably different enough that neither one would damage the others' sales due to mistaken identity. I don't think a suit would stand up in court.
