I would of verbally destroyed that kid if I had him in my game. Ive honed that skill after playing GTA 4 with so many annoying people and racists.

I think it has a lot less to do with the servers, than it does with the game. I played Counter-Strike on dedicated servers, and the well-run servers were actually ten times worse than Modern Warfare 2 in terms of racist, pornographic, chat and spray logos.

I also played Team Fortress on dedicated servers, and the community there was totally awesome.

they're are alot of mature servers (that is respectful ones) in counter-strike that have 0 porn/abuse policies.

the thing with dedicated servers is you can choose, and if you don't want someone there, it's your choice.

Xbox Live is full of the most immature loudmouthed backwoods idiots in the world. If you can play any FPS on a public server against anyone you don't know and not hear a racial slur or some random BS about someone's mom, then buy yourself a lottery ticket because that's the luckiest day of your life.

Do I hear that crap on Steam? Hell no. My friends wonder why I don't play on XBL anymore and it's because of BS players like this. The sad thing is, Live isn't moderated ENOUGH as it is even though you have to pay for it.

Thanks for the link to the unedited clip, crab. It also shows how pathetic the kid who posted the edited video is, too. Joystiq should link it in the post (unless they can't since the language is much worse than the edited video).
And it shows how useless it is to get involved in any arguments on xbox live. Anybody that talks to other people like the kid in the clip does isn't going to stop. He even knew knew he was talking to a mod that could ban him. The best recourse the rest of us have is just to mute them and report them.

Public dedicated servers can be just as bad or worse. It all depends on the admins, and how fair they are. Having said that, I don't know of any dedicated servers, public or private, that would put up with a cheating 12 year old that screams about how he'd like to f*** your grandma. I sincerely hope that this guy DOES call this little kids mother and play an excerpt of the profanity for her, and explain that he was cheating and making things suck for all the other players. If she's anything like my mother, she'll drop kick the kid and throw his console down a flight of stairs.

I have a horrible feeling that we're going to hear this kids mother complaining about how her precious little babies console was banned in the near future though.

I just realized that this kid is only suspended......this is wrong on so many levels. Never has a permaban been more warranted. If they don't turn the suspension into a ban, I hope they watch the account like a hawk so that they can ban him the next time he uses a mod.

I'm not gonna lie, I saw the edited version yesterday and thought 'The Pro' was an a-hole, like I was so mad that a mod was taking the piss, they made it look like he was totaly abusing his power.
After seeing the unedited version, I feel a bit of an idiot and I'm amazed how well The Pro actualy took it and glad to see those twats banned. The Pro is a pro.

These are smug dipshits who think they are above reproach, and by yelling obscenities at the tops of their lungs... or keeping friends that do the same... they can get them whatever they want. They are barely conscious mounds of quivering jelly that barely passes for sentient life, and only qualify as such by their ability to have a earth-shattering temper tantrum. They don't want to take responsibility for their actions and are only ever sorry they got caught. These are the kinds of problem children who turn into complete and utter tools with no respect for any authority figure. The rest of the world knows them as that kid at Chuck E. Of course the video was edited. It was edited to remove the foul mouthed obscenities he was screaming during the game. And he wasn't suspended for having a modded console, he was suspended for being a foul mouthed, obnoxious moron. If he had been on a modded console it would of been a ban on the console and not a suspension of the account.
