When I picked it up, I started playing solo and leveled up to the mid 20's then went online for co-op. It's still entirely fun doing missions as a single player.

Game is fun with and without co-op. Honestly, I preferred it solo. I advise playing through solo before playing through with friends so you know what's going on.

Either way, game is totally worth owning.

I didn't like the game at all. But, if choosing between co-op and solo it's got to be co-op. The game just wasn't very fun or special to me. It was like an MMO with a sparcely populated world. Don't go into it expecting Fallout and you might like it.

I'm not really bent out of shape about it. I think his review score was on par. My problem is with the content of the review. Reading his review, I would have expected a 3 or a 4 as a score. I think the review content was biased, and the score was legit.

If you go to the options in the demo, there is an indicator to show you where the gamma setting in the game should be (i.e. adjust the gamma setting until you can barley see the picture against the black background). The default setting, which you are referring too, is adjusted WAY average and therefore incredibly dark.

Take the few seconds to adjust the gamma in the options and problem solved.

I think that was directed at me, but it's a moot point now since I deleted the demo and have no plans on playing it again. I'll probably still play the full game eventually, even though the ending already got spoiled by some sack of human garbage further down the thread.

I played the demo of Heavy Rain last night and except for that fight scene, WOOF. I hope the full version also involves me spending a good 20% of my gameplay wandering around in circles and bumping into things (sometimes in PITCH DARK) and using unecessary, and sometimes confusing, multiple button presses to have my character scratch their ass (or something equally as mundane.)

I'll definitely wait on this one.

I played it in the same session that I played the Sonic Racing demo and watched Inglourious Basterds on BR, both of which looked perfect (Dr. Blight, it's a 52" 1080p Samsung ToC LCD.) Now, I may need to kick up the brightness for that particular game (seriously, I couldn't see shit without my semen-detecting-CSI-glasses during that one crime scene...um...scene) but that's still not going to fix the FFVII/Paradise Eve-era walking controls. It's really hard to make a scene seem "cinematic" when your character is bumping into shit, walking backwards, and spinning in circles.

the fight scene has me terrified, i've only had my Ps3 a couple of months, and only ever used six axis to lay demo charges in KZ2, I had no idea what I was supposed to press in that fight! I feel like im gonna get a character killed everytime that comes up now!

The navigation controls are possibly some of the worst I've ever seen, even besting RE 1-3.

If the rest of the game makes up for that, all will be forgiven.

Along with the HR demo, I tried the Sonic Racing demo last night and while it's got a great character roster (I guess, the demo only lets you be Sonic and Eggman) and the track I played was okay, I just couldn't get down with the controls. I don't know if it was because I'm just not used to the PS3 controller or because the steering is just not that great. On a genre that lives and dies by the controls, that might be its biggest downfall. The worst part is, even after playing 3 races, I still don't know whether or not it's going to be any good.

It's releasing as a cart, not a ROM, and I kinda doubt you'll see anyone rip it that quickly. The guy who made the game doesn't even have the hardware to read or write ROM's to and from carts. But whatev. I don't expect many of you are as excited for a new NES game enough to actually buy it like me. ^_^

I'll get Heavy Rain probably in June, just not that impressed by it based on the demo. Plus, my backlog is huge so it'll be awhile. He ain't Heavy, he's my brother.

Still, Last Rebellion looks to be awful somehow unless NIS America surprises me.

And I'll definitely get Endless Ocean: Blue World, I got a sibling who loved the first one. And SSFII Turbo HD Remix is a definitely purchase for me on Thursday.

Got Last Rebellion pre-ordered. Can't wait to give it a spin! Probably not gonna happen until after FFXIII though. I'm about 8 hours into SO:TLH int. and loving it. Best year of this gen so far!! Hope they keep the JRPGs coming.

The only thing I'm getting is Heavy Rain. Maybe it can pull me away from MAG for a few days, I know Dantes Inferno & Darksiders would appreciate it! Heavy Rain seems like a very polarizing title amongst gamers and reviewers, I was hyped up and the demo tempered my expectations. Hopefully the full experience can deliver and illicit some strong connections and emotional responses.

I want to love the game more than any other one I can remember. They won't get a free pass though, if it can pull me away from MAG it's a winner. If not, it's good at best.

I hope Endless Ocean gets the attention it deserves. They've gone to some good efforts to make the sequel worthwhile, from what i've seen. Hopefully it gets to a million someday, like it's predecessor (which stealthily crossed the million mark sometime in early 09)

It's the fish-petting sim that would have been sweet if it was in HD, but it's not. The upside is that the sequel will help clear out the inevitable stockpile of WiiSpeaks...not that I can figure out what you could possibly use voice in this game for.

ceramic white DS3, ftw!!

The only ones I have right now, a friend of mine picked up in Japan for me. They're quite attractive. It's a shame we don't get the ceramic white ps3 in the states.

Heavy Rain is freaking awesome. I just beat it, totally loved it save for one annoying segment spent on my belly w/ broken glass. You'll know what I mean when you play it. Controls just don't work during that part.
