I got excited by the title, and then I read the details. Kind of heard the sound in my mind from when Stewie is following the dude with the tuba and then just falls over, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bohK2Zyh1D8

Not really *that* compelling. I have incredibly fond place in my memory for Perfect Dark and sunk an astronomical amount of time into it back in the day, but playing it now it feels super slow like my character is running through molasses.

In comparison to the TimeSplitters games I fell in love with on GC, absolutely.

Maybe you should tick the "fast movement" option. Although I personally don't like that because it makes it a bit too easy to run away from fly-by-wires and laptop sentries. Unless you play on one-hit-kill.

I really don't know how anyone could call PD slow. And "running through molasses". You have to be joking. It is quite frenetic. Maybe you just haven't mastered the art of strafe-running.

Also, PD remake at $10 is the best deal in video games ever, even without this deal. I bet if Goldeneye was released it would cost at least $15, and probably $20 to cover the license BS. Yet Perfect Dark is the better game, improved in every way, and now even enhanced with online play and Goldeneye weapons in multiplayer. *drool*

You do realise this is effectively what every sale - or hell, reduction in price - is?

All the games look good at least. Definitely getting Perfect Dark and Toy Soldiers day one. On the fence about Scrap Metal, but it looks alright so far. And there's no harm in downloading the Game Room client considering its free, and it would just be extra incentive to actually buy a Game Room game with the free points - there's bound to at least be one classic coin-op title in there I fancy.

At least we don't have to buy the worst remake of all time again in order to get in on the deal (Turtles in Time ReShelled), but that one also came with three of the very best XBLA games.

Man, I had 4 of the games from that Summer, and TMNT was the incentive for me to buy 'Splosion Man. I LIKED 'Splosion Man, I just wasn't sure if I should buy it... then I realized that buying it was like getting a refund for TMNT. Insta-buy.

At least they're good games, but it's not that great of a deal.

/Shameless self promotion

Two 1200 points games is what makes this deal luke warm. It's easier to justify spending more that way.

i've been eyeing scrap metal for a while, so that and perfect dark makes this a somewhat tempting package. $5 back and a month of XBL gold isn't too shabby.

Sooo spend 40$ and get back 5$ eh? Not a bad deal if you had planned on buying all 3 games... but...nowhere near worth doing otherwise. Even the free month of live isn't that great a deal.

Now... if they threw in 3 mo of XBL gold for free THAT would be a deal... I mean thats 20$ value and it would cost them nothing in the way of actual goods. And would add to the hook to stay on XBL gold.....

LAME. Why not give away a free game like PSN did with Flow?? That was AWESOME.

MS has given away a few games free like Aegis Wing, Dash of Destruction, Tinker on GFW and limited time free games like flow would be Carcassonne and Undertow.
