Regardless of whether or not you're a fan of ludological interpretations of America's pastime, you should really plan on grabbing the demo for MLB 2K10. See, you're going to need as much practice as you possibly get in order to pitch a perfect no-hitter once the game's released, effectively netting yourself a cool million bucks.
However, though the demo is currently available on Xbox Live, PS3 owners won't have access to it until March 4 -- two days after the full game is released. By that time, the 360-owning populace will have had over a week to turn their pitching arms into Randy Johnson-esque baseball cannons. Depending on how you look at it, that's either a huge handicap, or the makings of a fantastic underdog story.

I wouldn't even bother putting it on PSN.
Just focus on the 360, where you might sell some copies.

It's that time of year when a lot of my LIVE friends start getting excited about baseball games, it's almost funny how reluctantly they are clinging to MLB2K after almost four years of mediocrity. I only ever hear bad things about it from them. A few of them actually bought PS3s for the sole purpose of playing The Show, and the rest talk about doing just that.
I personally don't care either way, I'm just hoping the RBI Baseball XBLA game manages to actually release. The Show is amazing at what it does, but I'm not big into sim gameplay and the controls. I'd just rather keep playing World Series Baseball II on Saturn.

LOL why is this on PS3 at all? Does ANYONE really get this over The Show? I'm a cricket fan(I come from Asia), and even I somehow picked up a copy of The Show, since it looked and played so damn nice. The Show '10 looks even better.

I only know 1 person in real life that watches baseball. Amazing to me that so many Joystiq'ers actually care enough about baseball to play a game based off of it.

The Show is terrible. I bought the '09 version last year and it's the same button pressing game we've played for the last umpteen years. I personally loved MLB 2K9 despite what many thought. I can't wait to try out the demo tonight.

Wow, getting downvoted for an opinion or because someone doesn't like what I say...
I meant compared to 2K9's analog swing and pitch mechanics. It's fresh and way more fun than pressing a button.

Of course it's coming from someone with that name. Odds are they either don't own a PS3 to begin with, are lying about having purchased MLB The Show, or are so desperate to hate on Sony that they are willing to crap on anything that is good about it so they feel better about their childish fanboyism (you know, because the other two giant corporations CARE about him/her).

I'm not a fan of baseball games but I always think the graphics look amazing, at least in these pictures.

I am an xbox man myself, and even I have to admit that the show is much better, and the 2k games really aren't that good.

Sony is just saving your ps3 the shame of actually running the code for this shit.

I actually like the gameplay of the 2k10 so much more than last years...It's not as good as the show, but it is the best that xbox has. It's fun.
I think I'll get it. :)

I played the demo for 2K09 and it was horrendous. It look like they spent 6 months deving the game.

Randy,
Your right. If you read the new game informer, it actually says that the new developer only had a small window of time to make it. I too hated 2k9 with a passion. This one seems so much better so far. :)
