Time Magazine once described Modern Warfare 2 as having "something intelligent to say about contemporary military conflicts." Which is why we haven't seen the addition of the popular Call of Duty staple, zombies -- it would ruin the incredible realism established by Infinity Ward's latest! Of course. Thankfully, Robert Bowling confirmed to IGN that there are no plans for Nazis, zombies, or Nazi zombies, in "any piece of Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content."
Thank goodness! We certainly wouldn't want to misrepresent the realities of modern warfare with something as ludicrous as that, right?

Why not Mexican terrorists? Is it any worse in your fragile mind than Brazilian terrorists? You have played MW2, right?
By the way, I am MexAm (which really shouldn't matter) and the US is in an ongoing conflict with Mexican terrorists. Get real, bro.

Who wanted Nazi Zombies? To tarnish a masterpiece like MW2 with such tomfoolery would be inconceivable...

WTF? When was ADDING zombies a bad thing? I think Infinity Ward have shoved their heads up their own asses, because there is no way MW2 could be worse off with zombies. If anything, zombies would actually add realism to the Michael Bay-esque plot.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. I want to argue my point that MW2 was awesome but I was can't fully process the foolish juxtaposition of "zombies" and "add[ing] realism."

I have no problem with them maintaining their realistic feel by saying "no zombies". IW didnt develop CoDWaW anyway so its actually more of a WTF point. Was anyone expecting this kind of DLC in MW2 in the first place? If so....there is no helping you....

yea, nothing ruins the realism in nuclear bomb ending 1887 gun wielding call of duty games like zombies.

Ah yes I remember when Russia invaded the US. I had to camp out in the woods with Charlie Sheen using guerilla tactics to drive em out of my home town. Those were the days.

Swayze made it out alive and will remain alive forever until the war is over!! Sheen bit the dirt.

I must have missed the issue of Time magazine that gave them the idea for a dude running through the desert wielding two shotguns.

Its that Time mag issue where Russia could even afford to think about invading the U.S.

So 'realism' means the story has to suck?
Somebody better tell Naughty Dog they have to give back all those awards...

C'mon the Yeti's were fake!
...It was the immortal takes-a-million bullets to kill Blue Jungle freaks that ruins the realism and were in the Yeti costumes.
I thought it was hilarious, playing that game. I have to waste 5-6 clips of my ak-47 gunning these basterds down, kill one finally and pick up their golden crossbow. Then its one hit kills from there on out!

Even more of a reason why I hate Infinity Ward. The Zombie mode was a ton of fun and to exclude in MW2 made me hate the game even more. They suck all the fun out of their games.

This is IW not having a sense of humor, plus wanting to completely disassociate themselves from whatever work that Treyarch has done.
Lots of people enjoyed zombies. They should do something equally fun with mw2.

Crrrrappy! I woulda looooved a new zombie mode with modern weapons n cool levels!! They could even use Nazi zombies or regular zombies. I don't care, I want a modern warfare 2 zombie mode!!!! N I would definetly buy that dlc if they did it! Frankly I think they're dumb to not have one of the most fun modes from a call of duty game!! N dumb that they don't make $$$ off it. A large % of mw2 owners would buy a zombie mode add on. Oh well, hopefully it's in treyarchs next 1. Tho modern weapons n defend a location n other stuff woulda been better than Vietnam weapons (if that's the era they use)

all i could think about while playing nazi zombies was how unrealistic the whole thing was. you wouldn't believe the number of times i set a group of zombies on fire, blew them to smithereens with a grenade, or disintegrated them with an alien ray gun, all the while sighing with discontent, the meek beginnings of a tear coalescing in the corner of my eye.
what a depressing and inaccurate historical text that mode was. certainly not enjoyable by any stretch of the imagination.

... They do realize that Nazi Zombies was the selling point for CoD:WaW, right?...
RIGHT?!
With Modern Warfare 2 having so many players, they could make another few million dollars with some Zombie DLC.

@Urza nooooo, it wasnt. activision did a good job on the multiplayer and the graphics. the multiplayer (since its the big thing about CoD) was better put together than MW2's. the only thing i dont like about it is the overpowered PTRS, but considering it cut through tank armour its not so bad. and the underpowered rifles. but other than that, all the guns have thier own advantages, you had to work for all your perks, and there where no cheap killstreak rewards like a CHOPPER GUNNER in the game. oh yeah, and i could actually talk to my friends while playing CoD5.

if they want realism they should add things like taking time to pick up ammo from bodys, non out-dated guns, and, oh i dont know, take away the ability to still RUN when a .50 caliber bullet penetrates your leg. still want to talk realism, infinity ward?
