Alpha Protocol is ready to spy hard on May 28 and June 1 in Europe and North America, respectively, according to IGN. Spies in the land down under will get their chance to play the game on May 27.
Obsidian's RPG has been plagued by delays, shifting its launch from fall, to spring, to summer. Hopefully, this time Sega can make the game's latest release date -- or at least let us know in a reasonable amount of time if it's delayed, again.
Update: Sega has confirmed the June 1 release date for North America. All three versions -- PS3, Xbox 360 and PC -- will release on that day.

I agree to a point.
I'm curious what they can do with this game though. They're sticking with Bioware's type of skilltree from what I've heard, but I can't complain.
They did KOTOR 2 and did a damn fine job of it.

This has lots of potential, but I'm afraid it'll get overlooked by other serious contenders like Super Mario Galaxy 2.

except that xbox/ps3 games only minimally compete with wii games. there are, however, plenty of xbox and p3 games that are going to make it very difficult for this game to break out.

It doesn't help that Splinter Cell was pushed back closer to that time also

no he almost certainly meant to say splinter cell, not because Splinter Cell will be overwhelmingly better (which it probably will be, and more so than Alan Wake) but because they're both espionage spy thrillers

Well at least they avoided the monster that is Mass Effect 2.
I'm really looking forward to this.

To be honest, this has been perfect for me. This has always been a "B" title for me, not in quality or anything, but in the fact its release windows have always been around other games I wanted more.
I don't know of anything I want in May yet... so... now it's upgraded in status!

Obsidian dropped the ball on NWN2 really badly, and KOTOR 2 was pretty bad too. But third time could be a charm. :P
