I really like the remake (based off the demo), and I think I like it even more after seeing that price point. Just might look into the LE as well.

One question though, anyone know when the game will be released on PSN? While I will someday be holding onto the LE, my friend will have to be waiting around for the game to show up on PSN for his PSPGo.

Should be out on PSN on the 4th, on the week's scheduled PSN update.

Thank you for the quick response. Glad to see that everyone will be able to get the game around the same time.

Um, wasn't the Anime cut seines from Lunar Silver Star Complete, for the PS1?

Because I know they aren't new. (Anime Spoiler in the trailer!)

Also the voice for the flying "cat" is very boyish in this version. I liked the girl who did the acting from the PS1 a lot better.

Yeah, I don't know what he means by "new anime style." The game had an anime style even in its original form, and the anime cutscenes have been there since the Saturn/PS1 remakes (which is why they're not widescreen in the PSP demo).

I was wondering the same thing. Those are the old cutscenes. They're even in 4:3 still!

Everything about the remake looks fine based on the demo, except some quirks with the new voicework, the awful new intro song, and the menu-type new map.

Heh, how could I forget the new intro... I'm fine with them "remastering" the songs, to an extent, but the new intro is pretty bad...

What do you mean by "awful new intro song"? I specifically searched out the original Japanese intro song (from the Saturn/PS1/PC version, not the Sega CD version) on YouTube, and this is the same melody. I compared the Japanese lyrics to Working Designs' English version and the PSP demo's version, and the PSP's lyrics are nearly a direct translation of the Japanese (which, honestly, is remarkable, considering that it still fits the music's meter). So, if anything, this is the awful *old* intro song.

Yeah, the new lyrics may be more "accurate" to the japanese script, but some lines don't even sync with the music and come out... forced. It's pretty bad. The old WD song may have not been as accurate but it flowed well with the tune. Besides, the song isn't even telling anything interesting to begin with. I'd rather have the one that sounds better.

I wonder if this might be a case of "The one you hear first is the one you like better." I heard the PSP version first (I haven't played any version of Lunar before), and when I listened to the Working Designs opening title afterward via YouTube, I thought *it* was the one that sounded awkward and forced, not the new XSeed version. I don't think either is terrible, nor do I think either is perfect; but, I prefer the new one.

This might be the worst RPG I have ever played.

The story and dialogue is absolutely atrocious. The game practically plays itself, I don't know how you could possibly ever be in trouble in this game. I played for 4 hours before I finally had to stop to do anything but play this game.

Maybe it'll be nice for those of you who used to play it, but as a first timer with it, I can say that it really just doesn't compare to modern rpgs, on so many levels.
