Just Cause 2 demo drops in March 4

Just as promised, operative, you'll soon get your chance to bone up on your rocket car skills before entering the field, as the Just Cause 2 demo has been set for release next Thursday, March 4. The demo will arrive on Xbox Live, PSN and Steam and will grant access to 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert -- one of the islands making up the game's promised 400 sq. miles of explorable Panau archipelago. So oil up that grappling gun and get your best black ops duds off to the dry cleaners. We want Rico looking mucho suavé out there!

Just Cause 2 is set to dive into retail on March 23 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Games for Windows platforms.

Who here has played the first Just Cause? I remember playing the demo but was less than satisfied with it's story or lack thereof.

I played the full game. There's nothing positive that can be said about the story, but the premise justifies the action, and the action is why Just Cause was so awesome. It's like a dumb action movie: The plot is there as a necessity, but the real draw is the explosions and cheesiness.

I bought it for $5 recently and I can't recommend it. It's kind of a one-trick pony. I wanted to love it, but the horrible controls mixed with the broken camera really ruined it for me. It just felt really dated. That being said, the sequel looks amazing. Hopefully they've fixed the camera/control issues.

I was pretty satisfied with the story. It didn't really need more than a basic plot to hold the action, and I loved the action. The only thing I didn't like about the first was that getting lost in the middle of nowhere meant you were lost for a while. The grapple in the second seems to alleviate this problem.

Finally get to check what standard the controls are at

I remember the Just Cause 1 demo being incredibly impressive (where you had parachute into the level and to try to land on a jeep to take someone out).

But then the game ended up being really repetitive and not that fun.

Hope it's not the same this time around.

I don't think anyone played the first game...I unfortunately did. The game was a huge turd and it amazes me that anyone is excited for the second. Still will play the demo though,hopefully they've made some improvements.

I have an eye out on this....if the demo is good I will put it in my Q...it's not I have anything else to play that week of march.....

Ive been eagerly awaiting this demo, as all the vids that have been posted, and all the talk about this game has got me intrigued.

So, the demo will determine me buying this or not ; so hope it works out well for me!

Awesomeeeee. If Read Dead Redemption wasn't coming out around the same time, I'd get this instead.

You have one month between games. Surely you can accomplish the beating of Just Cause 2 in that time frame.

i remember a year ago when supporting this game meant a downvote. internets, you are a fickle crowd.

I'm pretty sure I've already done this stunt at least once...
