Looks bad ass, I hope it's good.
I heard this is based on a book, which book is that? I wouldn't mind checking it out. Thanks.

The book is called "Metro 2033" and it was written by Dmitry Glukhovsky. Please do not ask me how they took a name like that and were able to come up with such a creative and unique title for the game.
Anyhow, it hasn't been published in English yet, but supposedly will be this year.

Considering the iffy Russian accent, I know I am playing this game in Russian with English titles.

I'm 100% sure the girl singing (or whatever it is) when 4a Games andTHQ flashe on the screen in the beginning was stolen directly from the haunted mansion level in Timesplitters: Future Perfect

which likely came from a stock-audio package that is used in many different things.

Yeah, I've heard that audio in a lot of other games and some movies, too. It's just like that annoyingly and obviously fake "kids laughing and having a good time" audio you hear in trailers, movies, games, commercials. songs, etc, etc.

Anyone know if this game has Co-op? Looks like it'd be fun to play with a buddy.

That's funny that they decided to publish a game after the book. I was on a train travelling across Germany over the summer when I noticed the woman across from me was reading this book. The cover and title alone grabbed my attention so I made a note to write it down and look it up when I got back to NY and sure enough it's not in English yet, but when I saw they were creating a game I got excited.
Looks a bit like Stalker, but with a bit more action.

I'm sure this game will come to ps3...eventually. It'll be a timed exclusive. the developer said they developed the engine using the ps3's aerchitecture, and its set up to run on it.
