MM9 was beatable. Certainly more difficult by far than most modern games, but it's unfair to say that anyone who beat it is lying. Hell, I'm not great at games in general and I still beat it!

Now, if you want to talk about people clearly spewing bullcrap, bring me someone who has claimed to beat Radio Allergy on one credit.

what i want to know about mega man 9 is how hard it is compared to the old ones. I remember being able to beat the NES ones when I was a kid but I tried mega man 9 and it destroyed me. I'm curious has my gaming skills gotten that soft from playing all the games we get today.

I'm pretty sure it's actually harder. I went back and played MM2 and 3 and breezed through them while MM9 hands me my ass on a platter.

Regardless of how hard this game is i will have to buy it. I love Mega Man and I like to show my kids these games and say "well in my day we had games like this and WE LIKED IT." :P

@Zertoss: MM2 was a joke, difficulty-wise. MM3 wasn't much harder, just longer. MM1 was quite tough. In my opinion, just about the hardest a game like that should get. There's still a dent in my parents' wall from the outlay of rage that the iceman stage caused.

I don't know, 9's definitely pretty tough, but I wouldn't put it above 3. I would say the original is harder than 9 as well, assuming you don't use the pause glitch

The original is kind of stupidly hard anyway. There are parts where it's just cheap. I wouldn't say that about any of the other Mega Man games.

It took me around a month to beat Megaman 9. At first I had trouble, and then I acclimated. It's all about memory. Once you learn what you're supposed to be doing in a level, it's much easier. I beat most of the bosses in the first couple weeks. What really hung me up though was having to beat all 8 bosses again at the end in the token rematch section of the game. That's where I got hung up, as beating them and then Wily really pushes your endurance.

As for whether it was harder than the older games, I'm not quite sure, but it is very challenging. If you don't like memorization, platforming, and an overall steep learning curve, Megaman just isn't for you. Nothing wrong with that, but that's what the game is really.

Yeah, my first time through took me a long time. But then I played the time attack mode A LOT, and that helped me get better. Last summer some time, I finally beat all of MM9 in under 40 minutes (which isn't that impressive, if you look at the records).

Damn...this really makes me wish I had a Wii right now. Ironic that I don't have one...I know...especially considering my username. I had one, but sold it.
