There are only a few scenarios where it's okay for you guys to know all these lyrics:
1. You have a daughter that only watches The Little Mermaid, and being a good daddy, you watch it with her.
2. You work at Disney, and you actually helped write that song.
3. You're a Navy Seal, and one time a guy you were about to kill with your bare hands was singing the song. It was so beautiful and haunting, you've never forgotten it.

But I hear they're going to cut out most of the interesting gadgets because they think Western audiences wont "get it."

Glad that Obsidian is getting a chance to work on their own IP. Animation looks a little rough, but I'm thinking the gameplay is going to make me not care.

Oh, also: WTF is up with the new trend of having these developer interviews in "game appropriate" settings. I'm not going to forget what the game is about just because the animation director is talking in an office and not in some faux interrogation room with random cutaways to a "surveillance camera".

Looks like they took the advice from those leaked minutes ( http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/22/rumor-leaked-minutes-from-sega-sony-meeting-reveal-ps2-and-drea/ ) and focused on making it feel more like an rpg. It seems kind of like a cross between splinter cell and mass effect.

Did that triple shot look...kinda cheesy to anyone else?
I was expecting more of a "mark-and-execute" style succession of shots. not like, a contra spread gun effect.
I dunno. I think this game needs to take a look at the successes and failures of Mass Effect 1 and learn from that when it comes to combat. Or, you know, just look at Mass Effect 2.

Yeah I'm sure this will be a game with some flawed execution but I LOVE the freshness of the idea of a spy RPG. I'll be getting it new and I hope it does well enough they can upgrade the sequel (much like ME 2).

yeah that was pretty ridiculous, the rest of it didn't look that great either, I'm kinda worried about it now

Is this going to be released in Canada on June 1 as well? The article only mentions US, AU, and EU.

"RPG's are an interesting type of game in that people want to play around with the different types of options available to them."
This was said so straight faced yet I can help think that this is a jab against ME2.

Yeah, I was a bit dissapointed with the limited options in ME2. And the heat clips. Talk about a step backwards.

So if you told him to stop waiting, doesn't that mean you're telling him you think he's funny?
Or else you could have told him to keep waiting, cause he ain't funny ;)

I come in here to finish off the Little Mermaid reference, certain that no other person here is fool enough to have those lyrics imprinted on their brain, and my god, it's like the whole damn score is in the first few posts ... the internet terrifies me.

I'm really looking forward to this game, but one thing I just really hate is the crosshair.
Mass Effect one had the same similar, ridoncilously big ineffective crosshair and made a great switch from ME1 to ME2.
I wish this game would have stuck to the tried and true smaller crosshairs. I don't care about the design of the crosshair, I just don't want it to be so damn big.

I'd been keeping an ear open to Alpha Protocol cause I saw potential in the concept but based on on this trailer this is now a game I want, I love copious play options (ie: Morrowind, Oblivion, Mass Effect, etc).
