And while the trailer seen above features the same two fighters (Ken and Ryu) that the last video did, we certainly don't mind getting another chance to marvel at the uncanny vision of Street Fighter IV being played competitively on iPhones; it's quite like being drunk in North Korea -- something just doesn't feel right. The trailer also gives a "Coming March 2010" at the end, so it would seem that we don't have too much longer before we'll be able to marvel at the game from the comfort of our own phones.

*throws up comes back to bare with it....goes away and throws up again* but seriously personally i think street fighter should stick to its roots and stay with arcade and consoles. No handheld please. @alex: I KNO RIGHT!! I can't stand waiting for that game but i guess GOW III will keep me pushing till then :)

Did anyone notice that they had Vega's name on Bison's picture?

It's from the Japanese version of SFII if memory serves correctly.
Balrog was originally M. Bison
Vega was originally Balrog
M. Bison was originally Vega
Because of this, a lot of people (although I'd wager mostly elitist jerks) refer to them as Dictator, Boxer, and Ninja

The Japanese names were different.
M.Bison was meant for Balrog. It was supposed to be like "M.Tyson"
M.Bison was Vega.
Vega was Barlog.
They were afraid of a lawsuit by Mike Tyson, so changed the name. The other names were changed for other reasons.

Couldn't this be done on the PSP...and infinitely better than on an iPhone? I mean, I know that this would make a buttload more money on that Apple platform, but isn't this just a bit silly? It would play and look so much better on a PSP, we all know that for a fact! I'm starting to think developers are jumping on the iPhone craze a little too quickly here.

There's good reason this is coming to Iphone and Touch so fast instead of the more obvious other handhelds. It's because games are extremely easy to make on Iphone and are MUCH more profittable on the App Store. No box art to make, shipping of game, production costs, just profit. Look how well Plants vs Zombies, World at War, and Final Fantasy have done on Iphone.

I can't speak to the difficulty of developing for the iPhone as opposed to the PSP, but in terms of your other points of shipping/production costs, they could just make it a download-only title like Patapon 2, and even forgo the useless code vouchers and achieve the same effect.

They could do that but it doesn't have the effect that the App store does. When something that is actually good on the App store shows up, it goes to the top of the list of ratings and it's all $$$ after people know about and bought it. The PSP doesn't have the support that the App store does and not many people get online with their PSPs at all.
