Spring would have been sooner if not for that damn ground hog so it is his fault we have to wait so long. Or maybe hes Activisions scape goat. But yea I think the first day is in a couple of weeks.

If it was $10 for 5 maps I would definitley buy it. Don't like the whole 3 maps for $10 that Bungie/Microsoft started. Eventually the map packs would add up to the same cost of the game. Of course, with the recent developments in the Activision vs. the whole game industry, I won't be buying these. That and I was disappointed in MW2. With the recent developments of employee abuse, it showed in the final product, and was most likely the reason the game didn't have much soul.

I'm still waiting to see a multiplayer map in the white-house.

To be fair, Halo's maps are original creations, CoD's have been just walled in campaign areas.

Uh.... no. Not all of them. COD 4 used assets from the single player, but not all the maps were "walled in." In fact there is a video showing that they designed maps from the ground-up. MW2 had even less amount of maps that were almost the same as the campaign counter-part.

Also, Bungie confirmed that they are taking the multiplayer maps straight out of the campaign so that is no longer the case.

Don't visit the techgame.com, they're a bunch of hackers.

Need proof? Go to modern warfare global leaderboards for kills and check some of the top 20. There are at least 5 gamertags with the name "TheTechGame".

Seriously, I can confirm that "The Tech Game" are a bunch of hackers and no-lifers who enjoy ruining Call of Duty.

They not only promote "prestige hacking", but also JTAG'd 360s and generally messing with the game.

I have to say thumbs down. As soon as I saw that watermark it put a sour taste in my mouth. I'll wait for the official word from the developers, not some crap thrown out by a bunch of glitching MORONS.

P.S. Attention all members of The Tech Game - Please go rot in hell. Thank you.

This is obviously fake. 90% of the footage is taken from Modern Warfare 1 with photoshop editing done to them. Any idiot could see that. The others are mod maps.

Why would activision be so quick to taking it down if its Fake? They didn't seem to have a problem with fan made trailers which were fake.

Really Joystiq? You haven't figured out how to download an .flv file, convert it, and upload it to your own video service so it doesn't get taken off Youtube?

Idiots.

Really? You think an official outlet like this should even try to break the copyright of a huge publisher?

Then where would joystiq go?

What a mixed bag of news.

I'm estatic about the new maps. Can't wait to try em out.

But as far 2 older maps returning from the previous version-- what's that about? I mean, I can fire up the old version and play them any time. And I've played those maps to death. I'd be GREATLY disappointed if they're padding old maps in a new map pack for the first release. It's like they're putting little effort into the DLC.

I've heard people say the 2nd MW wasn't as good as the original, and perhaps with the single player, I would say the original has a better storyline, while the second had a more shocking element with the airport scene. As far as multiplayer is concerned, I've liked both, although the 2nd MW did take me longer to warm up to the multiplayer. I would say that I didn't have any fun until I passed level 8 or so, because I was being grouped with higher level players that were totally rocking my world. Once leveled up, I found that was able to hold my own. But I've basically played MW2 multiplayer practically every day since release, just like I did with the original MW. CoD WaW also had a great multiplayer, because of all the maps and new modes added.

Infinity Ward really built a great engine when they made Modern Warfare.

Oh man, im soo happy I will get to play Crash again... Overgrown is ok, I would rather have Downpour IMO, I also miss Ambush for some reason... I was expecting/hoping for a return from Crossfire, District or Pipeline, those would be great on MW2, but this is good enough for me.

If you purchase this you're supporting terrorism.

And don't give me that crap about supporting Infinity Ward. Activision will just fire the rest of 'em right before the DLC royalties come in...

Nice - Crash and Overgrown were two of my favorite maps from COD4 :)

I always heard a lot of people bitch about Overgrown but there was just something about it that I really really liked.

Brilliant! I was really hoping for some COD4 maps, and what better then two of the best, Crash and Overgrown. Plus, with 3 new maps... I really couldn't ask for more. If this trend continues, we'll see another 3 new maps in the fall with 2 more COD4 maps - my hope is Pipeline and (i think it's called) Vacant.
Now, just make sure this price doesn't exceed the 800 points mark standard - $2 per map.
