Joe Danger stirs up trouble on PSN, doesn't rule out other platforms

IGF-nominated indie start-up Hello Games just dished out a press release stating its upcoming title, Joe Danger, is headed to PSN. Of course, we thought it would, but it's just nice to finally have that official confirmation, you know? You really can't put a price on piece of mind. You also can't put a price on this game -- at least, for right now.

Joe Danger will be available for download this spring, initially exclusive to PSN as part of Pub Fund. But, that "doesn't mean we won't ever come to any other platforms," a Hello Games spokesperson told Joystiq. The rep also added that "coming to console is really hard sometimes and until recently it looked like Joe Danger might never get a console release. Since we announced, and especially since the IGF, a whole bunch of people have helped us and Sony was definitely one of them."

Holy cow this looks fun. I really need to get a PS3.

The NES was my 1st videogame system. Exitebike was and still is one of my favorite games of all time.

Now we have an HD exitebike with LBP (play, create, share) thrown in.

Another unique, 1st class PSN offering for my PS3.

Multiplayer looks to be a blast.

I hope it does come to LIVE arcade, this game looks too good to not be played by as many people as possible.

LOL Joystiq! It's an exclusive to PSN for the foreseeble future. Do you know how long? No. When every other site lists it as an exclusive and it's developed with the Pub Fund (like Burn Zombie Burn which is still exclusive) I would say it's only on PSN for now. When it comes to XBLA etc then you can put your little platform icons there to let everyone know. Geesh...

Except those other PSN games didn't have a rep from the company explicitly comment on the possibility of other platforms.

I sure hope it comes to XBLA, or even PC. This looks awesome.

That seems to point toward it being an exclusive for a while.

But it does, indeed, look great.

I know, how can any one oversee that little tag. Btw, I know the PUB fund ask for exclusive titles but I think that they can change the name and stuff in it because the developer still keeps the IP. Don't know how that functions lol.

Though I'd imagine Sony would allow a PC port.

360 port is out of the question.

Release date? "Spring" is so vague — especially because it's not spring everywhere at the same time, you know?

I think it'll sit well on the Playstation 3. The game looks like it shares that same "Play.Create.Share" idea that LBP and Modnation Racers have.

I bought LBP. I plan on buying Modnation, and I'm very interested in Joe Danger. If it turns out to be good, I'll buy it.

I played a Beta version of this last year while working for a publisher that was evaluating it. This game is SUPER fun!!!! I will actually pick it up because I wanted more time with it.
