@SourceJR: Are you kidding? FF13 won't have good sales? Looking around, I don't have to worry about that.

Haha, okay, downvote me for tryin to show you guys how to save a ton of money and buy way more games than you normally would be able to. For every game you buy at release, I can buy two.

Walmart does this for nearly EVERY game. I almost always get a 10-20 dollar gift card for buying at Amazon.com and they throw in free release day delivery too. I have 30 dollars in promo credit going to my collectors edition splinter cell copy with free release day delivery.

I love Amazon.

I got a $20 discount towards any game for buying my copy of Bad Company 2, which I put towards my copy of Final Fantasy XIII, which then gives me a $10 off card towards another game...

Sure, neither offers a free rideable chocobo or anything wonderful like that, but that $10 at Target could potentially buy pizza bagels. And did you know that when pizza's on a bagel, you can apparently eat pizza at any time? Madness!

Madness? THIS. IS. RETAIL!!!

haha seriously, this is the most hilarious joystiq post ive read in a year. Which means i might need to go back and recheck. Because if there is content this good now, who knows what the Legacy is like?!? (except hardcore readers of this website. :P )

I like to fancy myself as somewhat of a writer, and in my mind, this whole post is spot on, and all the comments are hilarious too. This is a Blog Post on Expert Mode with a 100% completed Game Save.

Ben Gilbert. You Rolled d20. Awesome Show! Great Job!

Find me, we must conversate.
google "pinionblue"

Thanks again for the laugh. =D

You had me fooled, Joystiq. I preorderd FFXIII last month and your article had me thinking that they dropped the price back down, alas, they have not.

I gotta say, Gamestop has the best bang for your buck. At least it does if you have the games.

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/specialty/tradeins/ff13/

I never trade games (which is why I have a few hundred) but I let go of Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy and I got Final Fantasy XIII for $16.19. Yes, sixteen dollars and nineteen cents. I believe though the Gamestop I go to went with the 50% bonus trade-in promotion (I heard the sales guys deliberating it). Either way, each of those games got me $22.50.

On top of all of that, I grabbed the Collector's Edition guide from Barnes and Noble for an ungodly $20.40 with free expedited shipping. It would have set me back $34.99 at Gamestop.

All in all, Final Fantasy XIII is my most lucrative game purchase to date!

Also do not forget if you are a Best Buy Gamer Reward Zone member you will get 500 points which nets you a $10 giftcard when buying the game.

Although I "think" you will get the giftcard a month later when the points go thru.

kmart also has their own deal for instore purchases, and exclusivly for the ps3 version.
buy the ps3 version and receive a 10$ sony gaming coupon. it prints out at the register. I have no clue what a sony gaming coupon is thou, sony products only? sony videogame related items only? a 10$ psn code? sony gaming coupon is a pretty bland term
