Blur has been in development at Bizarre Creations for at least a year now, and probably even longer, but in all of that time, no one in the studio has worked on any DLC, according to lead designer Ged Talbot speaking to MTV Multiplayer. While the title does have some in-game pre-order bonuses ready to go, there won't be any launch DLC, so you'll have to be satisfied with the 50 cars and 30 racing locales coming on the disc for a little while.
But Talbot does say that Bizarre will be releasing additional content soon after the game goes on sale, and that "it's always been a massive part of the strategy to support the game with DLC." Your late '92 baby blue Subaru might not be in there right now, but just be patient, baby -- it's coming for you.

DLC is lovely. The spend a year making a game and getting out to the public to enjoy, then add to it. OR, they could add in all the content at the start, making it an 18month+ project. I'd rather have a good, working game sooner, than wait for it to be loaded with the extra content i can get later. Fallout 3 is a perfect example.

I'd rather they just save it for another game. I bought the first borderlands DLC but now there are more than 3 with talks of at least one more...maybe even more than that.
anyway all of the DLC for that game will be at least $40. haha, thanks but I'll just go buy a full game instead. I understand this is their way of making money and combating used sales but the publishers need to adjust the pricing.

The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx is well worth the ten bux. The more money these companies get, the more they have to fund their next game(s).

So, I'm looking up "anti-dlc" on google images and I see an image of Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot... and nothing funny. I figured maybe just "dlc" would return better results. So I looked it up.
Almost immediately I saw this image:

I gotta say, despite not even hating DLC before, I somehow hate it a little less. DLC is one sexy mistress.

OH GOD! NSFW! N-S-F-W!
Dear god I hope I never have sex with the TV still on. I'd hate to end up having sex to the Golden Girls.

Well, considering Criterion isn't making any more DLC for Burnout Paradise that could be a good thing.

Oh wow I completely missed the fact that Bizzare is making this game.
I always looked over anything Blur related because I think the racing genre is being oversaturated and thats why I only look at Forza/Gran Turismo/NFS/PGR related things.
Glad I got the beta code though, now I really wanna give it a try.

this almost sounds like they are apologizing for not screwing us with Launch DLC...
you know it is not like Launch DLC would be anything someone did additional to the game, it is something that was taken away and then put back in. -> i look at you Forza 3!
So thank you that i am able to buy a COMPLETE game in ebay for once...
oh and somebody has some REAL screenshots or videos?
All i've seen so far are PR pics... they dont say anything.

I was playing the beta last night. Unless there were more people on the higher rankings, the place is a ghost town. It's fun though. I was going to not get Blur in favor of Split/Second. Now I think I'll get it when the game drops down to the $40 level. Love that Bizarre Creations.

I think they supply an Xbox Live Gold 48 Hour trial with the Beta Code, too. ;)

what happened to the days when you got the game and you didnt have to worry about day 1 DLC. Not everyone plays online and some people dont have fast enough connections for xbox live play. I dont mind when they add on to the game a month or two later but day one content sounds like a underhanded way of stealing money from me even after i bought the game. sorry for the rant Im just getting tired of having to spend a extra $10 after spending $60 dollars on a game.

i agree with ronaguilar. It does feel like they are just trying to squeeze more money out of me after I just bought the game for full price and that makes me feel angry that I didnt get all of it to start with. And how are people without a console hooked up to the internet meant to get it? It just feels like they are stabbing people in the back sometimes. I dont mind if they add to a few months later to get people interested in it again but Day 1 DLC? Thats just insulting.
