Don't worry duke I'll buy copies in bulk and export them to the US, and if I buy too many, I'll just have to deal with that.

I've read its sold over 500,000 units globally already. I'm not sure if thats accurate or not but that would mean it would sell upwards of 1,500,000 by Christmas. Pretty fantastic considering just about everyone (myself included) assumed the game would sell minimally.

I cannot believe how fun Battlefield is.

It is one of those multiplayer games that you get completely hooked to and just want to play constantly for hours and hours on end and when you are not playing, you are just thinking about the next time you can play.

I'm a huge MW2 fan and I think Battlefield is the better game (which for me at least is saying a lot).

Crazy fun. Squad DM for the mofo win. And Rush is even better when you and seven of you pals or so take over a side and party chat it up.

I haven't played MW2 since last Tuesday ;_;

The only gripe I have with BFBC2 is that there's no chat across squads. It would help so you could co-ordinate a mass attack. I've been able to do party chat with 8 people twice in this game and both times it was a night and day difference in gameplay. It sucks when you see someone 20 yards out that misses something and you can't talk to him or even send a signal his way because he's in another squad...

I LOVE THIS GAME!! Can't wait for the new maps coming out next week.

It is King for very good reason. That game is ridiculous fun, and yet you can actually incorporate strategy into the mix to make it serious fun as well. Well-played, DICE...well-played...

You're right. The brilliance of the game is it's pure fun (like MW2) mixed in with the ability to put in lots of strategy and really focus when you want.

You can just lazily run around and capture flags and shoot people, but if you want, you can really plan out detailed strategies and play them out to alarming accuracy!

I think this will make the game last longer than MW2 where the pure fun factor wears off after a while.

Agreed...my brother and I coordinate tactics like an actual squad and though we don't lead the boards at the end of a round we feel as though we've actually contributed to the outcome (so far our teams have never lost when he and I have played). Even though we take it somewhat seriously, the balancing of the game makes it very fun to play, even when your team is getting waxed.

Ah, Battlefield. In what other game can you hop on an ATV, realize you're driving out right infront of an enemy tank being controlled by a human being, avoid the tank, only to end up being shot at by an enemy helicopter, also being controlled by a human being, jump off of the ATV just as it explodes, leaving you out in the open for enemy snipers to take a shot at you. After running behind a tree, you trace another enemy tank for someone to shoot, run up a hill to knife the enemy snipers in the neck, doing all of this...WITH A FRIEND!\

Sorry, but it was really exciting.

It is awesome. I find that I can really get an better directional effect with it. You can hear players and using the audio clues blow up walls and kill them.

The destruction is fantastic, to see a map after a protracted see-saw battle is eye candy to me. All those ruins and debris spread all over, flattened forests and burning wrecks. ah

Use smoke for snipers on Rush and keep resupplying, they can't see a think through a wall of smoke & can only use mortar strike at random.. Works well!

16% for the PC is surprisingly good. Could be more if it doesn't include Digital, most of these things don't

I'm with you... Hell, if this "16%" is JUST retail... I'd wager, in terms of overall sales--once digital distribution is included--the PC numbers might rival or exceed the PS3 numbers...

16% is kind of a hard figure to extrapolate anything meaningful from, though. It sounds pretty good but without any type of context for overall figures it's kind of meaningless. Also, I'm almost 100% positive these figures don't include any type of digital distribution sales. But, I know when the NPD (North American sales) numbers are released they don't incude Wal-Mart, so it could be that type of a situation as well with Chart Track. What you essentially have here is that of the sales they've managed to track the PC has sold 16% but we don't know the overall percentage of sales they've tracked in total. Maybe this data only accounts for 65% of all the copies sold when you factor in digital distribution and excluded retailers. As I said, it's almost meaningless data without more context.

DICE have also said that theres more PC users online than 360 and PS3 users (i read that to be 360 & PS3 seperately not combined, but i know many are going around claiming it as combined, though i doubt they're correct).

I think thats pretty impressive myself.

PC version is stunning, i wasnt overly impressed with the framerate for my hardware (Q6600 & 5770 @ 2048x1152) however the 5770 passed away last night and i've had to settle for a 5yr old X1900XTX, and just cos i have to get a BC2 fix i figured i'd give it a try on SP at a low resolution. Got 30fps at 1280x1024 med textures etc, changed it to 2048x1152 and got 25fps! Fricking crazy, got my ass online and got my fix for a while. Amazing, and the GFX card was the bottleneck even with the 5770, its not like the CPU is pushing me through this.
Great game, and back home where it belongs.

It seems like every night the matches get better. Even though 80% of people are snipers, they aren't very effective in anything other than Squad Deathmatch. Also, it's nice that someone as horrible at shooters as me can take the top spot on the team by playing engineer or medic.

Dr. Orpheus- You left at the perfect time. Next match, we were 5 against 10 with 2 people spawn camping us the entire match. The campers were shitty, though. Got 5 tags from them.

Bad company 2 will definitely be my online game for a very long time its just amazing online! My only problem is people not understanding how to play it, you don't have to have the most kills to be number one on the board. You get points for anything positive you contribute to the match like taking bases, reviving downed squadmates, assists, tagging enemies. If you do all this you will not only get points but also make the game better for everyone else.

Definitely. With people spotting and telling you where they're being sniped from, it's easy to deal with them. My beef with all the snipers is how monotonous it can make a match. All of the classes are fun and can be used together for some killer squad tactics. Playing against teams using a variety of classes is always interesting, and you're forced to evolve and adapt your own strategies to deal with new threats. It makes the game much more enjoyable than simply waiting for someone to shoot you, pointing him out to your teammates, and then waiting to see their ghillie suit pop out of whatever bush they're hiding in.

There's nothing wrong with snipers. They can be an asset to the team, and are great for covering the attackers who are rushing objectives. The point that snipers become frustrating is when more than half of a team (opposing or otherwise) refuse to play any other class.

snipers that don't help at all are annoying.

i use the sniper quite a lot, but i always spot before i shoot them, so in case i miss a teammate can get the kill.

i hate seeing a bunch of snipers on a hill, but almost no orange triangles showing up. i do believe spotting is one of the duties of a recon class, although, i do wish engineers or medics had some means for taking out vehicles like recon, cause recon has two.

Assault has C4, though. When defending in Rush, it's an easy way to stop a tank from getting close to your base.

You're right about Medics, though. Aside from launching a tracer, all you can do when a tank spots you is hide and piss your pants.

oh, i found it.

it's when you use a weapon in the all classes section, like a shotgun, it must be there to make up for lack of grenade launchers on the all classes weapons.
