Okay, Mac gamers, take a deep breath. It's been a busy day. Steam is coming to the Mac. The Left 4 Dead games will even support multiplayer across PC and Mac platforms. You're just not used to all this attention, we understand. Bear with it though, because there's more on the way. In a recent tweet, DICE's Karl Magnus Troedsson stated, "We like it!" in reference to Valve's Mac Steam announcement. When asked by UGDB.com whether the company had plans for a Mac version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Troedsson responded, "We're currently investigating the possibility of making BFBC2 available on Mac."
It wouldn't be the first time a Battlefield game was ported to Mac -- the most recent being Battlefield: 2142 -- but it could be the first Battlefield released on Mac via Steam. Again, Mac gamers, it's a lot to take in. Try to get some sleep and we'll start fresh tomorrow.

PCs have everything. Macs don't have anything PCs don't have. Except if you look at Mac's website $999 for a craptop with a 9800M ...that card won't run BC2 good AT. Maybe like 10-15 fps on low if you have a good processor. Macs are overpriced. It's a fact. Anyone with issues with windows is just user error, I've been using Windows for 7 years and havn't ever had a virus or any windows-caused issues. Macs are good for editing software and for people who (no offense) are not smart enough to understand Windows. That's why I recommend one to my mom, while my peers are able to handle a Windows with no issues. The world overall must agree in some way to me since all the Mac user-base combined is less than Windows 7 which has only been out for 6 months.

How do I edit. I ment "at all" and you could get an ASUS laptop with a GTX260M for 800-900 dollars. ASUS>>>MAC

Yet the asus weights more than the macbook, and is ticker, things most people think of when buying a PORTABLE computer. A Gaming laptop is not a good idea in the first place, it can be done but the price goe too high, yet a good laptop (whichever brand) with a regular gpu and a nice processor would fill the need of most people. Most of the people i know, hardcore pc gamers play mostly CSS on their ultra rigs at 400+fps, if you ask me that is a waste of computer power, and energy , specially cuz they know that even a netbook can run that game above 40 fps with most (if not all) settings on high.
And im talking about comp gamers, scrimers and whatever. The thing is, we dont know for sure how well open cl and open gl work compared to DirectX, we will soon. Maybe Open gl/cl needs less resources? i dont really know but clearly valve saw the potential, seeing that their engine is not that demanding.
