Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has pointed us toward a new self-help website filled with good news: new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mutliplayer maps are coming to Xbox Live on March 30. While the powers that be at Activision might have ousted the creators of the game, they haven't affected the delivery of eagerly awaited new maps.
People afflicted with "mapathy," your cure is on the way. PS3 players ... well, you'll have to suffer a bit longer. Have you spoken to your FAMAS-ist about a prescription?
[Thanks Legion!]

What about us PC gamers? Have we been ignored entirely?

I get the feeling people aren't gonna be happy about paying for extra maps, when even the first one gave you them for free.
But yeah the PC version just has no life in it.

The PC version is no different from the 360 version, but after a while the game in general got boring, and by while I mean 110+ hours http://steamcommunity.com/id/AliShaikh/games?tab=all
Bad Company 2 though(Bought from Amazon so not in list) is REALLY fun and new, but I just hope it doesn't get boring after a while, and stays indefinitely fun, like TF2.

it still has around 100k peak users per day on steam, it's alive and well, but that doesn't mean it is good.
im happy for bfbc2, i've already seen it peak 35k on steam stats, and that doesn't count retail purchases, EAdownload or D2D, and steam was definitely the least favoured choice this time around for buying the game online.
So at least it is on par/right behind Mw2 after a week.

You do realize that the entire company except for 2 people still works there, right?

Thank God, those maps were getting old fast.
Now, if we can just replace the majority of the players, it'd be perfect.

I'm really enjoying BC2, but I have to say that I was getting a bit bored with the maps after the first 5 days. It took MW2 3 months for that to happen to me.
Oh, I'll be playing BC2 until the 30th, of course. But the games play and feel totally different...and yes, it's possible to enjoy both.

First of all, How is FF13 a cure for a shooter? It's filled with beautifully bathed and quaffed dolls of people. They are like artificial human beings, much like what japanese people envision themselves as. It's ridiculous. Throw some fucking dirt on their faces, and get rid of the vidal sasoon hair cuts, you live in a fucking fantasy world, get over it, people are not DOLLS!
More on subject, BFBC2 is without a doubt, what i was looking for. I sold my copy of MW2 (which i "enjoyed" for the time being) for a much more immersive, cooperative, believable experience that i will not tire of for some time to come.
Thank you, have a good night. =)

I thought MW2 only had 1 gamemode: camp for a nuke.

Don't you mean BOOST for a nuke? That's all that I see people doing while playing Free-For-All!

i'm looking forward to the maps, but they had better be good ones, and not crap like Underpass or quarry.

mapathy [μαπεθη]: a lack of interest, enthusiasm or concern about any map pack downloads offered by heartless, and faceless gaming corporations.
