Just Cause 2 trailer analyzes anatomy of the 'Rocket Launcher Jump' stunt
40
Though we've thoroughly enjoyed Just Cause 2's "Anatomy of a Stunt" videos, we're not sure the one you see posted above is accurately titled. Though the name "Rocket Launcher Jump" does capture some of the components of the stunt, it fails to mention a few other important buzzwords; namely "speedboat," "ramp," "explosion," "death," "aerial," and "unimaginably awesome."
Do yourself a favor and check out the video above, which we've chosen to remoniker "Unimaginably Awesome Speedboat Ramp Jump Aerial Rocket Launcher Explosion Death."

Yeah, the controls were a bit wonky and unresponsive for me at times.
There would be times when I would want to fire the weapon I was holding, but I'd have to hit the fire button 2-3 times before it would actually register and begin firing. I'll probably give it a rent to see if it's any better when it releases, before buying.

I thought it was great. I'm on the xbox version and love the demo. It seems like a rental game, but it might actually be big enough to warrant a purchase. Hopefully my friend will go halvsies on it with me, and we can just share it.
And I've also noticed unresponsive firing, but only when I'm dangling from a helicopter, or some other situation where my body is facing away from where I'm aiming. It takes a second to swing around to where my guy can see the target, but doesn't seem to be a problem.

I'm 4 hours into FF 13, and it isn't doing anything for me. Probably going to trade it in to get Just Cause 2 since I thought the demo was amazing.

I think there is definitely a learning curve with the controls but after playing the demo for about an hour I was zipping around and hijacking helicopters like a pro. Day one purchase for me.

I've been absolutely loving the demo. After about my 2nd playthrough of it I could pull of every stunt and maneuver without thinking about controls, and that's when it really started being fun. I mean, it's mercenaries 2 with a grappling hook, what's not to like?

maybe i just haven't played it enough. the controls did not feel natural to me. im playing on PC but with a 360 controller. it seems like a lot of fun but i find myself thinking about the controls too much to enjoy it. i'll give it another go tonight. i really want to like this game.

I loved the demo. Yes, the controls were quite a bit awkward at first, and it was difficult to manipulate Rico exactly as I wanted, but after spending a considerable amount of time with the demo, I'm completely sold. I love it.
Also, has anyone else had as many problems flying airplanes as I have? I've tried so many times, and I just can't seem to nail it. I would have loved to have seen similar controls to the planes in Battlefield: 1943. I was able to get pretty good at those, and they were easy to control. The planes in JC2, not so much personally.

Did anyone else think that the voice acting was unbelievably terrible and over-emphasised? The way that woman spoke at the end of the demo actually made me not want to purchase this game just due to the knowledge of her annoying voice irritating me through every single unskippable cutscene.
Other than that the gameplay is quite good when you get into it, but I can tell its something that would get old fast for me.

I thought the voice acting was supposed to be terrible. Think about what types of movies you would see stunts with this amount of ridiculousness, and how good the actors portrayed in them were.
Well, okay, there's Speed, but that doesn't count.

Probably since before you were born, if The Washington Post is to be believed.
"The first printed use of "beaner" that the editors of the Historical Dictionary of American Slang could find was in 1965, which would make it relatively recent, as slurs go (its predecessors being "bean-eater" from 1919 and "bean bandit" from 1959)."

Man, I hope I don't get banned from this post. They, uh, note context when banning, right?! (gulp)

Demo isn't bad, but I just discovered I've pretty much tired of sandbox games altogether. I tried the Darksiders demo right after this and found that more to my liking.

The demo was a bit of a disappointment. I think I liked Mercs 2 better.. which was a cool game despite a few major flaws.

I always thought of it as a pun since you have the freedom to cause as much chaos as possible "Just Cuz" or you're liberating the people of Paunau so it is a "Just Coz" If you catch my drift.
