Do ya'll not see that there's also a new track, with 4 ribbons and 50 new career events. It's not just 7 cars for $10.

That seems expensive for just 7 cars but I guess they do have to model the interior and driver as well...

For Forza Motorsport 3 they have been charging $5 for 10 cars. This is completely ridiculous.

Who is going to pay $10 for this? This is way to overpriced. Even if this DLC only sells 3,500 to 4,000 on PS3 and Xbox360, with this at $10, that is easily $3,000 profit. Seriously, how long does it take to throw these in? Come on people, at least put a track in and bring the price down to $5.

There is a track, it's Rivera. It has 4 different variations of it. Or "Ribbons" I should say. Look into it a little more before freakin'. You will also have 50 new events to play around in Career mode.

I still haven't even got the game itself yet. Have they put an option in to stop the HUD from moving around? That is really annoying and nauseating.

@Killimus

Because you like to pay $10 for 7 cars instead of $5.

EA isn't being very competitive in their pricing considering that 5 of the cars are in Forza too.

McLaren, you say? I'm not proud of it but it doesn't take much beyond that word to get me interested in a racing game. HEAR THAT DEVS?

"only the most privelaged get to drive them"? really? I thought it was only the most desperate to throw another $10 down on something that was probably already IN the game to start with, taken out of the game to earn extra profits and to extend the 'visible lifetime' of the product.

They've been watching Criterion. Shift unfortunately doesn't have the quality to make DLCs (even free ones) worth much copy. I remember a time when devs busted their balls to include all the goods IN the game, to make it a true all encompassing joy... this DLC era is a real kick in the nuts (when not free) for all gamers. As if games don't cost enough in the first place. FKAS.

you don't know that it was on the disc. for all we know, it was just made. that's the thing about DLC. it could be stuff that was made and cut for extra profit, or it could be a real addition to the game.

Joystiq is wrong.
This DLC also includes new track called Riviera with 4 layouts and 50 more new race events worth 125 gamerscore point.

Well, you'll get to find out when you plump down your hard earned dough and get a 100kb unlock key in return ;)

Still, they do also include a pretty sweet looking Monaco-lite track (with 4 "unique" layouts no less!)

Joystiq, you forgot to add about the Track, Riviera. Which have 4 Layouts/Ribbons. And the "Over" 50 career events that will also be in the pack using these cars. Had to say it again, just to help out any misunderstanding the reason it's $10/800 Points.

Cheers JS.

I wouldn't call some of those cars 'exotic'. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but my impression of 'exotic' was hand-built.

So no to the NSX, and more than likely the Alfa and the Beemer.

It does have the ability to shift gears... you know, something you would kind of expect in a game titled Need for Speed SHIFT! At least Forza focuses on actual racing rather than trying to get "stars" for mundane and repetitive tasks. At least with Forza, if you upgrade your car then you actually get an advantage on the track. In NFS, the upgrades give you nothing. Your only hope to win certain races is to spin out the leader and block everyone from passing. That's not racing, that's Mario Kart.
