If MW2 is free to play for Silver Players this weekend, does that mean there's a good chance the first DLC map pack will release at the end of this week?

So far it's "sometime during spring" exclusive to 360 members for the first month. Word of mouth, grain of salt.

Wouldn't surprise me since it's around the same time of the BFBC2 maps coming out...

Well, the reason I mention it as a possibility is because info is coming this week about DLC, as per Rob Bowling's tweets from yesterday. It would certainly be a nice surprise, instead of announcing and waiting a month.

I can't imagine in any scenario that DLC for MW2 would be released this week. It was stated that we'd get news this week on DLC and I can only imagine that will be a release date, but likely for later in the month or early April.

Matt, I tend to agree with you but something like a sudden announce/release isn't unheard of. Epic did it with the first Gears 2 DLC when the announced it during the VGA on Spike a couple years ago. Just being hopeful of something similar.

Don't forget, Gearbox did this just a couple weeks ago with the third Borderlands DLC. I think it was great for them to say "yeah, we're working on it" for a few months, and then announce "Hey, remember that thing we're working on? Yeah, you can download it tomorrow."

Man they sure are overpricing Condemned. The came was a launch title and should be at the most $10.

It's definitely one of my favorite games but I sure as all won't pay that price. Well at least some people get a chance to play one of the best games on the system.

So basically they are having a free live weekend for silver members that don't exist. Cause I find it very hard to believe there are people out there that bought the game for the single player campaign alone.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe this is for the 10 people that let their gold membership lapse sometime after buying MW2?

I think there will also be aretail version and from what i understand its a substantial expansion, with a new main quest as well as sidequests and some new characters on new maps.

Quick somebody go grab someone from Sony and have them look at Microsoft releasing a SCHEDULE for downloadable content! It's a new inovation! Sony quick copy that idea so when PSN updates you won't have so many ticked off consumers.

This schedule doesn't represent all they're releasing. It's almost useless for that. And we already knew the XBLA schedule.

All I have to say is f' this noise. This is getting out of control. Prices here keep going up, plus the fact that I have nowhere to store any of these games on my 20 gig hdd with some Halo 3 DLC, PGR4 DLC, BF1943, Shadow Complex and the original Doom and it is filled up. This is nutso!

And at this point, why don't they just make this a disc? I wonder how large the download is going to be? 3-4 gigs?

I skipped Anchorage due to bad reviews, and was disappointed with The Pitt, so I've been skipping the FO3 DLC. But at half cost?

I got my Special Edition from Amazon for $50, and if I pay $25 in total for all the DLC(three for $5, one for the full $10), I'm still ahead. Might as well, just for the excuse to say hello to the wasteland again.

Point Lookout kicks major ass. Tons of quests, in-depth stories with branches, new weapons and enemies, and a new environment. Definitely worth the cash/points.

Mothership Zeta is kind of neat, but takes WAY less time to beat and is, in my opinion, much less interesting.
