Awesome.

The DS version of this got a lot of positive buzz from the folks on the podcasts I listen to, and it sounded interesting.

Glad it's coming to PSN! :)

It was one of the best games I've played on DS. If you like PuzzleQuest type games, be prepared to lose a lot of sleep!

Baller! Now I don't have to feel bad about not having a DS anymore.

Woo! Great news for those of us who never got to play the game because we don't own a handheld and never will (I never travel, so I wouldn't use one).

Why do you need to travel to own a handheld? 95% of the time, I play my DS or PSP at home. Think of it this way, they are just different platforms that have their own library of awesome games. Whether or not you want to pay money to access that library is up to you, not dependent on whether or not you travel.

True, but why hurt my eyes and hands on a tiny form factor when there are other options

This is freaking amazing. I asked Ubi and Capy to do this, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one... I like to think they listened to their fans. The DS game is great, but playing on the big screen will be even better!

The closest thing I can compare it to is Puzzle Quest, but in some ways it's better. Instead of Bejeweled for combat, you have a turn-based puzzle game based on combining units of a certain color, and your units can level up, etc.

Bleh!
More shallow ports.
It's No More Heroes 1 all over again. :/

I don't know if this is a joke or not, but it's the dumbest thing I've read on the internet all day, and that says something. Bravo, sir.

So now all of sudden everyone is interested in this game because Capybara Games decided to turned on the pretty (meaning, HD visuals). That's why i said it's No More Heroes 1 all over again (it's the same thing).

Actually, everyone should be interested in this game because it is a really fun original puzzle game and the fact that it is coming to PSN and XBLA means:
1.Available to a wider audience
2.Good online multiplayer community
3.Probably will be available for cheaper than it is on DS

So, um, maybe that's why "all of sudden everyone is interested in this game"

People were ALREADY interested in this game, it has nothing to do with the HD makeover, which is just a bonus. It's an awesome game - one of my top 10 - so it's a good thing you're not interested in it, because I don't want to be playing multiplayer with an idiot like you.

After the pure joy of Critter Crunch, Capy has definitely earned another game purchase from me.

Critter Crunch was awesome, but I feel like it got way too complicated by the time I was done.... and this one has even MORE components?!

I'm gonna buy it, for sure, but I'm scared.

@Xoonaka

It's actually easier and less complicated in practice then Critter Crunch due to it's attacking and defending nature, not to mention destroying objects beyond people.
Not to mention as you are never dealing with a time limit or falling objects you have plenty of moments to sit back and take it at a casual pace.

I played and loved this on my DS, but it looks so pretty in HD it's tempting to pick it up again.

I just wish Capy would bring Critter Crunch to XBLA or the PSP.

I think a hi-res game like this would also work well on something like the iPod touch with the touchscreen and all. Had it on DS but could never really get into it. Looks awesome for PS3, though. Might pick it up (or should I say download).

The DS game was great, but I beat it in a day and a half and there really isn't any incentive to keep playing, you don't get any new items, you don't gain any more xp, no unlockables.

Maybe I'm just spoiled from Puzzle Quest's longevity.

This.
Once you've beaten the last boss, there is absolutely no reason to pick up the game again (well maybe multiplayer, but nobody else I know owns it). I would recommend this to people who haven't played it already, but there's no way I'm picking it up.

Eh, I'll probably buy this but my feeling is that Clash of Heroes lacked the appeal of Critter Crunch.

There was never anything to spice up the gameplay. I got too bored of it fast...

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't BAD, I just... didn't love it like I did Critter Crunch.

What a coincidence, I just picked the DS version up the other day.

I think my purchase made Capy give the go-ahead for the XBLA/PSN versions. Although, I would much rather play on PSP

I'm happy to see further attention giving to this game. Other posters who played the game on DS mentioned that it felt a little too short or lacked replay value. I partially agree with that, but I did think the game's basic formula was great.

I like the RPG-puzzler hybrid as an idea, but Puzzle Quest's bejelewed-style gameplay didn't really hook me, so I was glad when Clash of Heroes delivered a RPG-puzzler with a fresh puzzle interface.

I would really like to see Capy expand on this formula and maybe make a sequel that adds more depth and longevity. Hopefully the XBLA/PSN release get's enough attention to push them in that direction.

Nice. I really like those 16bit graphics of the DS version though. Somehow they give me a warm "SNES-days" feeling. No need of a redrawn HD version for me!
