Dammit, Joystiq, either post your updates ascending or descending. Stop switching every few minutes. Giving me a headache, lol.

I was a little concerned about this at first, but then when you think about it, its offering a great deal of freedom win the moves you do, so registering erratic movement can be difficult :/

I noticed a bit of delay between the TV in front of the player and the big screen, which is where the feed was coming from. Let's keep in mind that different games may use different latency regardless of control accuracy. Many times this is done to give the player time to react. Also, this is not a final game, so for an alpha that was pretty awesome particularly because it was a fighting game built around MC. All in all, knowing how accurate the Sixaxis and the PS Eye are, I expect this to be great.

2 controllers? This is like Tequilla shots. You agree to try one, but there's another one lined up for you.

I find this beyond lame, I'm sure some good experiences will come out of it, but i have a feeling that these so called "core" games they promise will be just an excuse to give the PS3 a more family/casual friendly avalanche of games.

And nothing it's shown has seemed original at all

LOL. That sounds awesome. I completely forgot GDC was today, nice surprise.

i'm really tired of SCEA f*cking up Socom

they gears of war'd and uncharted the game up to be noob friendly. how hard is it to take what they did with Socom 2 and bring it to the PS3?

Must admit, not much a fan of the action gunning down business, I was hoping Socom was more stealth orientated, I want sneak headshots :(

Oh, I guess you are talking about the run and gunning stuff. It just looked like a firefight. It doesn't mean that the entire game is all about firefights. They just wanted to show off the tech of moving and shooting with the Move controller. For all we know, they had God mode on. If you tried to pull that off in the real game, you would be dead in 10 seconds.

No idea when "Snap to cover" became a bad thing. I guess I'm just too noobish for the old "crouch behind cover" mechanic. Also, the game isn't being built around the motion controller so that has nothing to do with anything.

"but enough of the game is changed to fit motion controllers. "

And you know this how? According to the video, the game was already being worked on and they just tossed in support for Move pretty quickly as another way to play the game. I'm fairly sure that no gameplay was changed and if it was, it's only for when the Move is being used.

Its adapted to PSM, its not ABOUT PSM like Wii games are, so its not an issue unless you make it so, as for the firefight thing, I hope its not all like that :( I like run and gun games, but they are becoming quite tedious now. I can't remember the last STEALTH as in crawling and sneeking around game I played. MGS doesnt count. ¬_¬

They should have at least taken a tab from the PSP versions, Socom Bravo 1 + 2 were perfect on PSP and incredibly addictive.

My main concern is the number of accessories you will need, in order to play most of these games it seems you will need two wands, now theres this sub controller, so thats 3, plus the regular controllers you already have, its getting a bit conjested.

And what happens if you are playing boxing two player in same room? Do you need 4?

So yeah, thats my issues stressed, but beyond that, I can see most of these having multiplayer online, meaning you won't have much need to play the computer if you lack more wands to go around, as opposed to Wii Sports which can only be played offline.

Pricing looks good, but if I need all these extras, how much could I be hitting?

I guess this is going to be priced like the wiimote, assuming they really want to compete with it. Worst case scenario, it shouldn't be THAT expensive.

what's up with the different colored orbs?? do you have to replace them for specific games depending on what you play?

No, the orb is white, the color comes from the bulb. It changes automatically so that it can determine which controller is where. For example, green orb is left hand, yellow orb is right hand.

Oh i wasn't trying to bash the product or anything (although i believe it doesn't deserve any praise at all).

I don't care about the color of my controls in the gaming experience :P colors in the games is a different thing tho.

I wonder what the future will hold for this peripheral.

Haven't you ever looked at your controller and wanted it to change to fit the mood you're in, like God of war, glowing hateful red :D RAGE! And when you are sad in Heavy Rain, it goes blue :P

Not that any of that is really important, but meh, its a nice touch.

You have to look at things from different aspects, on gamespot streaming, they are going around the demo booths talking to people who were skeptical, so far, people are coming around to it, it looks like there is gestures in Socom from the stream anyway, the guys seem to be waving about alot, we'll see when the game actually comes out, but thats a possiblity if it hasn't actually been implemented.

As for the boxing, when you compare it to gladiator areana, it seems more a game issue rather then a PSM issue, gladiator areana looks to be fluid, I'm guessing the boxing is delayed to give you that time to react and decide what to do, or maybe its registering the movements. Not entirely sure, they are talking to the demo tryers atm though, they don't appear bothered by it :/

"Unless I missed something the guy didnt do a single gesture with the control system he just held to controllers in his hands which looked more awkward"

It's not about gestures, it's about using the Move (ugh, hate this name) to point and aim. And from what I could tell, he had a good amount of control over his dude.

As for the Natal thing, sure, you could have a bunch of users per Natal device but there will be games that will also need 360 controllers. So you would still need to buy controllers. It would probably still end up being cheaper then Move though.

Regardless of how many players either can have etc

Its been confirmed it will have online multiplayer anyway, so its not as if you'll be alone against the CPU if you don't have more controllers, they've also pointed out that they will attempt to make some games single wanded as well as double wanded, I like that frame of mind.

DesertPyrate, to add more info after just watching more details on Deuce aka Motion Fighter, its in alpha mode and they are aware of delays, its something they are working on apparently, they also want to include more body gestures and integration, head movement, knees, elbows etc. Apparently its slightly delayed because its registering specific movement and trying to analyse exactly what you did, as well as identifying the strength (force) and speed of your jabs.

Quite intelligent if I do say so myself, but we'll see more later in the year.
