They also made a funny little jab ad IW in the campaign, when Sweetwater said they'll probably send some special ops douchebags with pussy heartbeat monitors.

DICE certainly has a sense of humor.

I'm with Spike. As long as I can find 23 other players to fill a game that I love, that's all that matters to me.

Do you want a cupcake? Will that stop your babbling? Respect our opinion of a game's release and quit trying to act cool.

this a4434q258 dude doesn't know that much about the Bad Company franchise. In the first game, they made fun of a lot other shooters as well. It's not a desperate attempt, it's their nature that they have to live up to. It's like telling someone like you not to be a wanker, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! It's Bad Company, not Respect Other FPS or TPS Shooters So That Fans Of Those Games Will Love Us More... Company.

See the problem is that we have opinions of games just like any other. None of us here were bashing MW2. It's you and a32982whatever starting the crap. Some of us respect your opinion until you start bashing our own.

I didn't bash BC2.(I bashed DICE) I was only stating facts. If I state facts about MW2 and you think I'm bashing BC2, it means one thing- that you can't handle the truth.

I'm pretty sure DICE is aware they're never going to beat MW2's numbers. They're just supporting the community, and making sure they do a better job of it than their competition.

I can't handle what truth? That we both have different opinions? As far as I can tell through this thread you and a442585 are the ones bothered by the support for BFBC2.

I'll explain this once for you mate, try to be as clear as I can. I said MW2 was on top of BC2 in the XBL play charts, and that its sales stomped BC2 sales on the PS3 as well. So clearly, the console gaming community as a whole prefers MW2 to BC2.

Those are facts that I stated, but you saw it as me bashing BC2. So the only conclusion I can draw from that is that you can't handle the facts about MW2. (the fact that most gamers choose MW2 over BC2) So the only other way for you to make sense of the situation, is for you to ignore me, saying I'm just bashing BC2 (when I wasn't)

Really, if you want to dispute this you have to state what other reason you had to claim I was bashing BC2. There's no other way out for you mate. Sorry.

DICE is just pushing more of it's placebo for mapathy. The only cure isn't more of the same, it's Heavy Rain, God of War 3, or Final Fantasy....

Who am I kidding, even with 2 of 3 of those games and both CoDMW2 and BFBC2, I still want to play a shooter. :P

Well I think DICE delayed the maps because on the BFBC2 store it was showing a March 16th release date. Now they're showing a March 30th...

Kinda disappointing in a way but, I don't care as long as it's free...

what's the deal with these maps

I got the VIP code but the store in the game doesn't exist when I go there. Are there currently maps to download, and then these will be available on the 30th?

@space,
What version are you playing. On the 360 & PS3 the store is on the main page, where you select Single or Multiplayer. I have the PC version too and I believe it's in the same place.

The VIP code needs to be entered in ALL CAPS with the - to work.
Apparently on the 360 they glitched it up and I had to re-enter the code to make it work AGAIN.

IIRC Steam users will get the maps when released. No code required.

a435323879823459 is lookin like a fool with his pants on the ground... Also, Captain Planet is one of the most signature commenteurs (yes commenteur, deal with it) on this website. Whether he has real super powers or not is non of my concern (although I am concerned for the environment), his real power is in his use of wit.

Something that you, Mr. a00000001...32...9, could learn...

This isn't the same map pack planed for April is it? I was really hoping for 2 new maps. This is great and all but it isn't really a Map pack. It's a mode supported map pack.

Yeah, kinda threw me off as well. Also, they had the promise of a Dr. Pepper unlock program that I haven't been able to really cash in on... This game certainly does have it's flaws, but in terms of where to get a shooter that, gameplay wise, does what this game does... BFBC2 really does stand out. I just wish that I could actually get into the game... and use my unlocks. Oh well, BF2 will suffice for now.

@Jerry

Battlefield 3... The answer to our large map woes. Bad Company is an aspect of the Battlefield franchise, I don't think it was ever meant to be a sequel to Battlefield 2 so it doesn't necessarily have the same feel of BF2. That being said, Joystiq and Big Download have posted a few news stories about BF3 and the work that has been going on under the radar with that game. They're saying that it's gonna be pretty awesome.

Hopefully these maps will be of a higher quality than Nelson Bay, that map felt like something that was cut from retail and then tossed into the DLC simply because it was lying around the office. I'm also becoming somewhat concerned over the Destruction 2.0 M-comm takedowns in Rush mode, it's made certain stages of map play impossible to defend.
