Any defensive maneuvers besides swerving out of harm's way?

@Dr Blight.
That's because it was made by Stardock, who also made Impulse; they wouldn't put their game on a competitor's medium. Not the case for Disney.

@Moptimus

Downloading, and buying digitally are totally different.
Had you said Direct 2 Drive or Impulse you'd have been onto something.

Wow, what a gorgeous game.

And how do you know if you can destroy your opponent? Is there a power up that you pick up or is it just assigned to you.

Much like Burnout, power sliding, and high speed driving manuvers build up a meter that allows you to boost or to trigger any of the hotspots as you approach.

Is it just me or does that city look a lot like the one in Burnout Paradise?

Every racing city looks like Paradise City after spending so long with it.

I always thought Burnout Paradise looked like Surfers Paradise.

The first one looks a little like NFS Undercover and the second one looks too much like Burnout Paradise

Except sometimes things don't make it to steam, and sometimes things are released exclusively on other services. Want the AO release of Manhunt 2 for example? You're not gonna find it on Steam.

Not so much for EA...The Saboteur still isn't on Steam, much to my dismay. There is some debate as to why, but I just wish it would happen >.>

playing the Beta of Blur on my Xbox the last 2 days... and is is WAY more intense then what i see in this Video.

Will give Split/Second a spin but i think this will be just as boring as the last few NFS parts or Burnout Paradise... (yes i called it boring, because it is!)
