Kojima's weirdness is sometimes a bad thing.

I never got through the last Metal Gear, It seems pretty juvenile and the stealth is spotty at best.

I'm firmly in the Splinter Cell is a better series camp.

While the last MGS game was a vast improvement (control-wise anyway) over the last iterations, as a whole I still enjoy the best MGS (Snake Eater, imo) over the the best Splinter Cell (Chaos Theory, fact.)

We'll see if Conviction changes my mind come April.

You did not just come into a Metal Gear Solid and post and troll about Splinter Cell, did you?

You're either enormously stupid, or a sadist for downvotes...

The idea that this game rivals Splinter Cell and is on the PSP is enough to prove your point as subjective.

Juvenile? I just got done playing through it, and thought some of the Ideas of the story were pretty deep. (Proxy wars, system n stuff)

Did that guy just say "Yahoo" as he flew through the concrete ceiling strapped to a balloon?

Nice music btw, sets the sneaking mood very well.

Most likely it'll be both. The 'Go hasnt really taken off and people arent really ready to buy a AAA console game as a download only.

Only to people that can't follow the plotlines of those wonderful Golden Book stories.

Oh, if life were only as simple as The Pokey Little Puppy...

I'm extremely pumped for this game, and I've already preordered it. I just hope it comes with some cool preorder bonuses like Japan got.

If you think about it, Hideo Kojima's no stranger than most OTHER Japanese people.

Sir, it's a joke. The Japanese are odd just as much as American's are fat. It's not as much an insult as it is an exaggerated national stereotype.

My only question is, did they fix the god-awful controls? Because I'm seriously not buying it if it plays like the demo did.

Agreeing with this 100%, the controls on Demo-Ops were god-awful and then some..

Still waiting for the obligatory PSP remake of 'Solid 1, personally.

Wow, that looks really good. Makes me wish I had a PSP.

My only concern is the camera.

Jesus Wiizer I hope you're getting paid by Kojima.

You'll notice Jacob said the story in the Metal Gear Games are preposterous. Not incomprehensible.

The Metal Gear storylines are understandable but also very absurd.

Haha this is awesome. I can def. appreciate Kojima's humor. The "stealth blanket" and "care package" were hilarious.

I can't wait for this game to come out, so I've been playing the "Piece Walker" minigame on Konami's site feverishly for the wallpaper that can be unlocked and used on my PSP. Good stuff.

I want this but I don't want to wrestle with the PSP controls. Maybe they'll do a PS2 port later on.

MG used to be my favorite series (that and the SCD Lunars), but after MPO and MGS4 I just wish he'd let it be dead :P This game seems pretty redundant. I'll buy it because I'll just hope it gives me a good time like MG used to, but I can't say I'm super excited. I also don't see how it could screw up Big Boss's character worse than MGS4 anyway.

If this game doesn't have Infrastructure support, I won't be able to play the co-op. My PS3 doesn't have Wi-Fi so I can't Ad Hoc Party either. Bleh.

I'm excited for this one. My big turn off for the last MG was that the dialog dragged on way more than it needed too. I like a good story but I also like a little gameplay with it. Hopefully this PSP game will have a good balance. Can't wait. (I just hope the controls are more intuitive than they looked in the video, it looked unnecessarily convoluted at points.)

Have you had the chance to play the demo? It takes a couple minutes to get used to but once you do its pretty easy. Its like going from God of War on the PS2 to the PSP, an easy transition.

I personally like MGS over Splinter Cell but both are great. Splinter Cell is easier gameplay and control wise when it comes to stealth but MGS is slightly more complex.

I'd like they make a top down MGS in the style of 1, 2, and 3 before-Subsistence, it suits PSP's hardware better. And single player, story driven too.

Though I guess a lot of people don't like MGS2. Oh well.
