Seems like it. Then again, I don't know at all what Natal is capable of.

1-2mb may as well be 0mb, but it is a little disconcerting that they were hush hush about the CPU usage.

It's the PS3 "headline" component, the cell processor, they pride themselves on how powerful that thing is, therefore they would rather have you assume that the thing is powerful enough...

Considering how frequent topics about the PS3's RAM are, then sharing information on the RAM has more importance..

The PS3 doesn't really have a pipeline bottleneck, it does have a memory bottleneck much like the PS2. The 360 has the opposite problem, from what I understand. This is why you generally have one less ninja to kill in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (that ninja's AI takes up memory) but you have tolerable graphics on the 360 (game not displaying at native 720p).

Although I'd probably get the Move if good games came w/ it, I am disturbed that you NEED the "Eye" to play it... Seems very illuminatish to me.

I'm vaguely disturbed too. I bought PS Eye a while back. And since I use a projector, I also had to buy two 20' USB extension cables so I could put it by my screen--which is nowhere near the PS3 (the PS3 is near the actual projector, which is naturally as far away from the screen as I can put it). Then after all that, the damn thing can't see me in the darkness that I need to create in order to get a nice projection image.

I think it should be ok though, since the PSMove has a glowing orb on top. That was smart. I'm not banking on it pulling any Natal action on me, though.

Why are you bothered it needs the eye? It's the PS3's version of the sensor bar.

Wow, not bad I guess. Didn't Sony reduce the OS usage so this pretty much doesn't even make a slight difference.

Yeah, 1-2MB isn't going to make much of an impact considering 1/8th of the total system RAM is consumed by the OS already. The real concern could be the CPU.

I'm guessing the PS Eye is the reason why the Move controller has that giant glowing orb on it because I remember Eye of Judgement had difficulty with card recognition based on lighting.

Low latency my ass, I've read on a few sites reports of disturbing latency with move games, so who the hell thinks this crap has low latency.

Sony does. You think they'd promote this thing by saying, "yeah, it's laggy as hell?"

I believe at GDC it was stated that Uncharted 2 was only 100K short of using all of the RAM available on the PS3.

2 MB isn't as insignificant as you may think.
