But they are? Mod Nation? Ratchet and clank? Jak 4 (if it ever comes out ¬_¬)? LBP?

The only difference is Sony is focused on the quality of these games rather then quantity, there is no point having hundreds of silly cartoony games just for the sake of it, all that does is push away the primary gamers the console has, the hardcore fanbase, games like LBP allow for anyone, casual and hardcore to get into and enjoy. Besides, Pixar already has its games on 360 and PS3, if kids were really interested in them, Monster Vs Aliens would have sold better then LBP.

Ironic that a few years ago fanboys were saying "The Wii is aiming at the casuals!! It doesnt count!! Being first means nothing!!"

And now, suddendly, numbers matter again, even if the thing isn't out yet. This is like the fanboy wars at the start of each gen all over again.

I don't think the console warriors count for anything. The wii is at a totally different price point and some people just love Mario games and other Nintendo IP. They do a great job with quality control.

Who cares which system is on top? I see a lot of xbox people point out that the Sony console wasn't profitable. So what? That doesn't matter at my end. It doesn't matter who is on top, it matters who has the games you like the best. and really, I think there's a clear possibility for someone to prefer any of the three.

The wii will probably be much cheaper by the time Move is out. It will still have that advantage for its entire lifespan. It's a worthy choice for some people. Not me, but some people. Just enjoy your PS3 and don't worry about the score.

Scores are what games are all about (well unless it's an adventure game or a RPG). The system war stuff invades every corner of video gaming you'll never be able to just "enjoy" when the "score" actually has some baring on how much you can actually enjoy yourself.

The bigger the "score" that some other system has the more resources they take away from systems with the lower "score". in the end the one with the least resources eventually gets ignored or misses out on games that could easily have been released for it. No one likes to miss out.

pno4, I think that's a load of crap.

The PS3 has the best games while having the very smallest userbase and a lower attach rate. There's nothing comparable to MGS4 or Uncharted 2 in quality, though.

Some people want to roll their ego into something, anything, because that's how folks are sometimes. Camaro vs Mustang, Army vs Navy (ok, that one's pretty cool), etc etc.

I love PS3 quality games, and I suspect that huge system install bases can actually detract from quality sometimes. Or at least not have the direct impact that the basic technological capability has. All the system have enough userbase and attach rate to fund massively expensive developments. Once it's reached this point, you really can ignore the score. It just doesn't matter that much. And it's certainly not 'stealing from the other systems'.

I have High Velocity Bowling .. but i wanna see a step up from Wii Sports by having the bowling on their with Sony Characters and characters that are from third party Studios bowl BUT instead of having it offline only have it online so either people can play 5 on 5 or have tournaments online which would be cool.

i know alot of people don't care for Wii Bowling but i know a few people who play it and i think it would be better instead of all being packed together in the same room taking turns i think it would be way better if we don't have to leave our homes to play together we can play online. Make it happen Sony !!! or some other company !

Even if Sony launch this rip-off of the Wii,Nintendo has almost invented this industry and surpass Sony.
Did Sony has:
Done a gauntlet that mimic some of the movement from the player to the game?
Invented a robot R.O.B compatible with their game?
Created a satellite,Satellaview system to give special edition of their game?
Invented a new kind of gameplay for the console video games?
Sony hasn't done anything of that, but Nintendo has done that.....

Kevin, that's unfair. Sony wanted to work for Nintendo, you know. They got burned and had to recoup their investment, and it turned out that their practices were much friendlier to 3rd parties. That's the domination of the industry. Sony's sold more consoles than Nintendo, in their total history, because of this.

They were working on a wiimote style controller for the PS2 long before Nintendo, not that I begrudge Nintendo for getting their solution to the market first and succeeding by working hard.

If you really think this is about which team you like, you'll be stuck with inferior products. Sony and Nintendo are a lot better because they coexist and compete.

But one thing is clear: this is not a rip-off of Nintendo's thinking. This is something Sony thought of, and has shown video of, long before the Wii. It is, however, a reaction to nintendo's great success in motion control, and I don't think you should be upset by that.

They seem to be letting my PS3 fanboy flag fly high, though. Are you sure? AOL does have an advertiser relationship with MS, and sometimes I see a lot of coverage of PS3 problems that imply a bit of scrutiny, but they probably aren't bothering to delete comments on a thread.

MS is playing hardball, but Sony competed on quality and it's working out OK for them. That BBC YLOD FUD was conclusively linked to MS, and they famously demanded Capcom release multis of equal quality, so I don't put anything past them.

But who cares? This is going to sell and gamers are going to love it.

Q: What kind of overhead does the Move take? That's been one of the concerns of Microsoft's Project Natal.

A: I'm not going to give you a number, but I will say it's insignificant.

-or-

A: Maybe I'd have to take off my shoes and socks to count up the percentage of CPU usage, or maybe I could put on mittens.

Of course there are going to be abunch of shovelware at launch, but I think this thing could really take off.

For example, wouldn't your typical RTS game really utilize Move? Unlike that horrible attempt of an rts Halo had, where you could only move your entire group to point a to point b. (I'm not sure if you could really separate your squad, only played the demo), but with Move you could split up your squad by circling them with the controller have team A hit the enemy from the front while team b and c are flanking them from behind.

I'm not much of an RTS guy, but with this kind of tech, I think this could really happen and more. But I'm your average 'core' gamer, where I don't want to jump around and do a 360 spin or something stupid like that. I like to sit down, got a beverage on hand and play my game enjoying it. If these devs can't realize this... Then I think it might not end well for the Move.

This new PlayStation Move wont last. Just like Microsoft's Project Natal. The disabled people who shake or use wheelchairs can't get up and 'move' with the new controller or the natal.

My uncle has Parkinsons, and he will never give up playing games. Using the Wiimote is actually helping keep it in check. But with the Wiimote you don't NEED to get up and 'move'.

There is no point in making a controller or whatnot if ALL your gamers can't play. Yes, Move and Natal MIGHT make it, but if they totally remove the controllers all together, then Sony and MicroSoft will fall into the bottomless pit.

I own all 3 systems. Wii, PS3 and 360. They are all great. Yes, PS3 might have some games that the 360 doesn't(a.k.a. White Knight Chronicles) and the 360 might have some games that the PS3 doesn't, but who really cares, you wanna play that game, go get the system.

Just because someone says that they had the idea first, doesn't mean that it's true. Sony could or could not have had the motion idea first, we'll never know. I agree with whoever said that it doesn't matter what system/company is on top or not.

It's called the 'War of Consoles' Deal with it. Sitting here nipping off each others throats aren't going to do any good. Just allow everyone to have their own opinion about things, and let it go.

It's pointless to argue over this or that, when all this is is the internet, and by the time that the Move comes out, Sony could have totally re made it. So, people who are complaning, shush up, sit down and get something to drink and just cool off. End of it all, yah?
