More 360 owners bought Call of Duty than Mass Effect 2. Whats your point?

The comment was a reply to some PS3 fanboy's remarks that got deleted.

This is what I don't understand. Why are big releases so close to eachother? If I had spend years making a game, I would pick a time to release the game when there's nothing else coming out.

It's like the lower budget movies that release the same week as Harry Potter, why would you want to compete with that?

Granted, it's easier when it's on one platform.

I agree, the first one was completely self contained. But the sequel is actually really good. I was skeptical.

That's just sad. A great game gets the #1 spot on 360 and doesn't even debut in the top 10 on PS3.

Great job, PS3 only duders.

We bought Heavy Rain instead. We also preferred to wait for MLB 10 The Show, Bad Company 2, Heavy Rain and God of War 3.

Bioshock 2 is a stupid rehash and PS3 owners were smart enough to see that and instead bought something original.

Not really. I just bought them all. ;) Both enjoyable (HR and Bioshock 2).

"more of the same" isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I also bought them all.

And I'm a PS3 owner, btw.

You still missed out on a fantastic game.

Stop making excuses.

Your loss.

Btw, not a diss on any of those games, but since when were Battlefield: Bad Company 2, MLB 10: The Show, or God of War 3 considered "original".

While BioShock is a sequel. It's only the second game in a sequel and Rapture is still far more "original" than military shooters, baseball sims, and greek mythology action games.

Fret not PS3 fanboys, you'll all have your revenge next month when the NPD numbers come in for FFXIII.

As much as I am a PS3 fanboy, I'm having a hard time picturing next month's turn out for FFXIII comparable to this one's Bioshock 2 turn out...

I'm probably just pessimistic by nature, but I predict FFXIII either doing around the same number on both consoles, or PS3 doing low numbers while 360 does even lower...

While most multi-plat games sell better on the 360, franchises that are traditionally associated with the PS3 (like DMC) have sold better on that console. And that was without the technical advantages that the PS3 version of FF13 has, so I expect that gap to be even wider.

Way to drown information in metaphor. The title should have been Heavy Rain drowns Rapture on PS3

Let see how Bioshock do in PS3-loving countries like Russia, and Japan. Maybe it'll do well and sell like 50,000 or so.

bioshock on ps3 was a technical disaster,i am not surprised the 360 version of bs2 sold better.
Even I bought the 360 version of BS2 and usually if i have a choice i will get the ps3 version.

I even had to rebuy bs1 for 360 so i could finish playing it as ps3 version was not a great port.
