We may have to wait until March 30 for Modern Warfare 2's first DLC, the "Stimulus Package," but thanks to an Xbox Live Marketplace listing for the map pack, we aren't in the dark anymore as to its contents. The blurb reveals the pack will contain "5 additional action-packed maps," including three all new ones ("Bailout, Storm, and Salvage"), as well as two remakes from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare ("Crash" and "Overgrown").
"Bailout" is said to be "a multi-layered apartment complex," while "Storm" is described as "an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery," and "Salvage" is "a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars." Presumably, if you're reading about the details of unreleased a MW2 map pack, you already knew that "Crash" is a "war-torn urban environment" and "Overgrown" is set in a large dry creek. No pricing is set, unfortunately, though you can ogle the XBLM listing for now if it makes you feel any better (though we wouldn't suggest it).
[Update: Clarified Stimulus Package DLC date of release.]

They expect me to buy this when there are tons of hacks and glitches every map? Not to mention it will probably be like the last MW where the maps came up 1 out of 100 times.

I'm all for the new maps and would happily buy them, but am not crazy about re-buying 2 additional maps I already own and have played to death and only stopped playing months ago because I bought the new MW2. Sure different game, new guns, but it's the same gameplay, same maps. It's almost like they're padding the DLC to make you seem like you're getting more than you are. Now if the old maps are free, then it's a totally different story. But after years of working on Call of Duty, is it too much to ask for unique maps if they're going to sell them as DLC?

Why do they say no pricing or date is set? Sure we don't know the pricing, but I thought IW confirmed these were releasing March 30th with the whole Mapathy campaign.

MW2 is dead to me. So very dead.
I remember the day I played MW2 after it had been a while. I sat there with 3 of my friends for nearly 20 minutes(!) trying to find a playable game. Then we quit. It took under 2 minutes to switch from MW2 to BFBC2 and to get into an actual, playable game of BFBC2 with those very same friends.
Amazing. GoW2 has a contender for worst online play ever provided to the gaming public. Don't get me wrong, CoD MW2 has some of the most addicting multiplayer ever, but it kind of needs to work in order to be enjoyed.

Good move lopping the remakes into the same pack as the new maps. I would not have liked paying for maps that were from essentially the same game.

I just watched a vid with info on these. He said that there are 3 new maps 3 CoD4 maps(Crash, Overgrown, Shipment) and they are adding 3 weapons(Skorpion, Dragnov, unknown) and 3 new perks(faster gun changing, 2 primary weaons, toggle thermal vision)
I think this seems more legit then a xblm section that is dated back to the death of christ :-/
