If you don't care, just don't comment under their comment, i don't care if you don't care, why do you need to show us that you don't care?

Know what i mean?

Wait, they're making a Mac beta client, but you can't get into it unless you requested an invite a long time ago, at a time when it would have been worthless to request one because you wouldn't have thought you'd be able to play it? They might as well just say that it's done, and that it's been released to exactly no one because there are no more invites available.

I guess there is boot camp and all that, but this seems odd.

I fail to see why you thought you wouldn't have been able to play it since they did so with WoW. They have always delivered Mac and PC games so why wouldn't they make a Mac beta client?

They made the SC2 Beta System Profiler for Mac, you know, that software you had to download to submit your specs to Blizzard a long time ago before you could be considered for the beta? People always knew the beta would be available for Mac.

Or... you were playing WoW in OS X at the time because Blizzard always releases Mac versions of their games. I was playing WoW in OS X at the time and noticed I could sign up for Starcraft 2 beta when they made the switch to the new BattleNet for logins. I hope I get in!

Woah, I'm not criticizing, I was just confused. Just because it's coming out for Mac doesn't mean they were going to include Mac in the beta.

Personally, if it isn't Diablo 3, I don't care.

They better have a beta for that.

Sadly they won't because the game doesn't run the risk of being instantly broken if everything isn't perfectly balanced like in Starcraft.

I would debate that, but then I just look back at the balance in Diablo 2 and know your right.

As a rabid StarCraft 2 fan, I can tell you that I read the entire Q&A, and they're still accepting opt-ins for the SC2 beta. And I doth quote below:

"We definitely will be adding a lot more people to the beta over the next several weeks so stay tuned. If you haven't opted-in to participate in future betas, now is the time to do so!!"

I do not consider myself a lucky man, and have not been lucky as of recently. I am, however, still playing the Starcraft 2 Beta against the AI. Read from that what you will....

You downloaded the game, and are running an emulator.

I wonder if the AI in the one you are playing can go above "Very Easy", because it's extremely easy to beat at that level.

I just hope Starcraft 2 comes out this year. It's been delayed so many times, I have lost count!

As for Diablo 3, well, I just hope it comes out before my PC becomes obsolete. With the crazy DRM these days, I am NOT going to buy another gaming PC!

Blizzard are reknown for making even their brand new games run on low-end PCs. I think you'll be fine. Beside, with most games being GPU intensive these days, graphics cards are the only thing that needs to be upgraded occasionally. Other bits can wait 4-5 years. Im still using an AM2 motherboard from 4 years ago, only the graphics card (and power supply) i've upgraded more than once.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but you can only have one system profile in your battle.net account correct?
I would love to update my system profile to my mac (Assuming they really are basing beta invites on system specs) just for a chance to get the SC2 beta on there, but don't want to ruin my chances of getting it for my Windows PC's.

It doesn't matter. As long as you meet the requirement, you have a random chance of getting it.

And let me say, it doesn't matter which one you have. If you get into the beta, you can download either version.

The time you opted in for the beta is irrelevant to whether you can be chosen or not. You can opt in today on your battle.net account and have the same amount of chance to get in as someone who did so months ago. Opt-ins are random.

SO DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, BROTHERS AND SISTERS! OPT IN NOW FOR YOUR CHANCE TO JOIN ME IN THE FIGHT FOR THE KROPULU SECTOR! HUZZAH!

I don't own a Blizzard game,when can I play a SC2 demo?

If there is no demo there is no likelihood that I will buy it.

I'm surprised at how many people are waiting so long for the beta. I setup a new battle.net account, submitted my old starcraft key, used the Mac beta profiler, applied, and within a week I had access to the PC beta. Great because I have a PC to play SC2 on 'till the mac version comes out.

Not sure if this is public knowledge to all but you can still pre-order and receive your BETA key that way. I got mine this morning from doing so.

That is all.
