"and how long of a nap will he need to take in order to recover?"

I'm assuming 35 hours was the answer to this question. If so, then it certainly beats my record of sleeping for 22 hours straight (on at least two separate occasions).

I would imagine so.

Well instead of saying "I'm going back to work today" then actually going back to work a week later (or any of the other silly Valve time distortions), in McE-ST (pronounced Mick-est) you say "I'm going to sleep for 35 hours" then wake up 12 hours later.

See, in his version of time, everything happens roughly 3 (2.91666667) times sooner than you say it will. In other words, he's always better than he thinks he is. That's a good thing.

I've been reading Corey Doctorow's "Eastern Standard Tribe" this week, where the main premise is that there are groups who begin allying based on the time zone they favor, regardless of where they live in the world (so you get up when it's dawn in that country).

I would totally ally with McE-ST.

if only PSPgo was tracked in USA so it can be shamed here too. I love my PSP but I really wish there were more actual games to play on it, PSPgo does not address that issue at all...in fact, it actually makes the situation worse.

I'm just curious...

There have been at least 400 games put out for the PSP on UMD/PSN (probably alot more)...just in the last year in NA you could have picked up about 65 of them including such big names as Resistance Retribution, MLB the Show, Mytran Wars, Persona, Bleach , Rockband, Madden, Soul Calibur, Motorstorm, Fifa 10, Gran Turismo, GTA, Tekken, Jak and Daxter, Assasins Creed, Little Big Planet, Army of Two, Dante's Inferno....on and on and on...what is it that you are lacking here?

I'm just curious because I see comments like yours all the time and then look at the available software and can't make them jive.

I know someone who just got a PSP 3000 for Christmas and even he bitches about their not being enough interesting games.

My point is, some people just aren't willing to venture out of their comfort zone, or they see a bunch of games and instantly think none of them apply to them for whatever reason, so in each case they discredit the game and act as if it doesn't exist.

The guy I was referring to is a pretty big "Nintendo fanboy" and only got a PSP for Final Fantasy/Guilty Gear/BlazBlue. The kind of guy who loves FF7-8 (PC) and FF9 (PS1 disc via emulator), but dislikes FFX, XII, and was even hating on FFXIII before it came out. He claims they've "gone downhill since FF9".

But anyways, as I said, some people are just quick to ignore or discredit games for silly little reasons.

Yeah Sonic I have a few friends like that and it drives me nuts...
My mate who loves FF7 like myself, hated FF10 and didn't even play more than an hour of it. I lent it to him for a few weeks because I know if he gave it a chance he would love it, he never played it once...

And now he is raving about how good FF13 is when it so similar to FF10 its ridiculous... It's like FF10 but half as good lol

The PSP went up around 74% and the PSP Go droped by 2% that is wierd. Guess they need to fix the price or add a UMD player to it, or both.

Being a regular reading is something "you are" not something "you do".

For example:
I am a regular reader of joystiq.

Your very wrong example:
I do a regular reader of joystiq.

Case closed... lol

Deone's right... The "we're guessing you are" bit is referring to us liking equations. So it should be "we're guessing you do (like equations)", not "we're guessing you are (like equations)". Well, unless they're trying to say something totally different. :P

Thanks Locke. I felt called out and was about to get defensive ("your VERY wrong example" emphasis mine) , but was hoping they would edit the article so it would speak for itself.

Maybe YOU guys should read a little more regularly. I'm right.

But it's guessing that we are regular readers, where does do come into it?
We ARE regular readers, 'you do' doesn't even make sense?
It's not a case of needing to read more regularily it's just a case of what makes sense and what doesn't.

Right, I wasn't quoting it in its entirety only because I mentioned it so they could edit it, as opposed to us having an argument on grammar.

Griffin, your logic is flawed.

When the clocks changed over you gained/lost one more hour
in addition to the three time zones you crossed.
Total = 4 hours difference to your "normal"

Your body naturally recovers from jet-lag at about 1 hour per day.

Therefore you don't actually need a nap.
Just making up for it with one good/bad night of sleep will do.

But if you insist on a nap, 4 hours.

Why do they even bother posting this crap , we all know that the japanese consumer will always continue to support thier companies. do we really need to know if any of Nintendo or Sony products did well or not. list is a bit on the bias side of it .i would rather see a worldwide sales chart instead of the Japaneses sale chart. post a worldwide sales chart then i may even spend more time at the website.

Yes, there are plenty of games released for PSP.

You are ignoring the prime issue: Most of the games released for PSP are reduced versions of games I can get on consoles!

Which should I buy?
Little Big Planet, or Little Big Planet PSP?
Assassin's Creed 2, or Assassin's Creed Bloodlines?
Motorstorm, or Motorstorm PSP?
Metal Gear Solid 4, or MGS Portable Ops?

Those are not the choices I want. I want more choices like Space Invaders Extreme, Patapon, Locoroco. Games that were meant for PSP.

PSP doesn't even compare with DS on the amount of actual games developed for the platform. Smaller games should be released for both PSP and DS, but Sony hasn't tried to appeal to that market enough. There is no excuse for there to be 3 DS Castlevania side scrollers and neither of them make it to PSP. All I got was a slow remake of an old Castlevania game.

I'm ranting now so I'll leave it there...

"Metal Gear Solid 4, or MGS Portable Ops?"

Both! Seriously.

Anyway, I do understand your point. I own a ton of games for the PSP and like every one of them, but few are remakes and none of them are ports. Although your examples of games confuse me Those games you listed are unique, offering a different story/setting/levels/everything. They're familiar franchises, but I consider that a good thing. It's the direct ports that don't interest me... the perfect clones of the home console versions with scaled down graphics.

That said, both the Mega Man remakes are incredible.

Yes, I own MM Powered Up. It is a REMAKE of Megaman 1.

For some reason no new Megaman games were released on PSP. They made two remakes and never released another game.

Why is it that MMZX couldn't be released on both DS & PSP? I loved MMZX.
For some reason most sprite based games avoid PSP because Sony has tried to advertise it as a portable console instead of its own system that is perfect for smaller, unique games.
