There are plenty of reasons to be wary about buying expensive electronics over the internet. They could be forever lost to shipping accidents. You could have trust issues about purchasing items from faceless vendors. Or maybe you're just addicted to instant gratification. If brick-and-mortar transactions are your preferred M.O., then you'll be pleased to hear that the formerly Amazon-only 360 Elite Spring Bundle, which comes packaged with Forza Motorsport 3 and Halo 3: ODST, is now available at GameStop for $299.99.
We can't stress this enough -- this is by far the best Xbox bundle ever to hit store shelves, so we suggest picking one up if you still find yourself sans 360. There's no telling when the offer will cease to be ... offered, but if we were to wager a guess, we'd say "around the start of the next temperate season."

Yeah, I agree.
Bundles are something I wish Sony would do more in North America.
They have an amazing lineup of first party exclusives, and the potential for epic bundles is.. huge.
Even something like a Little Big Planet GOTY Edition bundle with two controllers would be good.

Ezio, I'm with you. I wanted a PS3 for a long time and just bought one when the price dropped last year. I was waiting for a solid bundle but there just weren't any. They need to get on that.

Whoa... good bundle. I already have 2 Xboxes and one of those games so I won't personally be picking this up but I'd definitely get i if I didnt own an Xbox yet.
That said, even if you don't like these games, both are fairly new and can be sold for a fair amount $30+ on ebay or Glyde, which knocks off that price tag a bit.

Man, this is so tempting.
But I really want to wait and see if the inevitable Halo: Reach bundle is a special console of some sort, like the MW2 bundle..
Decisions, decisions...

of course there will be a special halo:reach bundle. the only thing is, it may not be as great a value as this bundle, though that definitely depends on how much you value a special edition console. i figure the halo: reach bundle will not be a cost friendly as this one, so you'll have to decide if you want to maximize your dollar, or own the special console.

Agreed. Forza 3 is a beauty. Very solid bundle. With this Elite bundle and the cheap (well, in Canada) Arcade unit, it must be getting tough for people to not finally cave in and get a 360.

I just picked up a 360 bundle with Forza + 2nd controller and a 250gb Elite for about $400 over the weekend.
No regrets here, Forza will keep me happy at least until GT5 comes out.

Dear Deaftly, if my calculations are correct you will receive this letter immediately after you saw the DeLorean struck by lightning. First, let me assure you that I am alive and well. I've been happily playing Heavy Rain and God of War 3 these past 8 months in the year 1885. The lightning bolt that hit the DeLorean caused a gigawatt overload which scrambled the time circuits, activated the flux capacitor, and sent me back to 1885. The overload shorted out the time circuits and destroyed the flying circuits. Unfortunately, the car will never fly again, however my PS3 is running like a champ. Your friend in time, Markez.

I'll be buying this bundle first day of Spring Break. I hope they don't sell out on my Gamestop or BestBuy.

well, most people who get this will be first-time xbox owners, so i doubt they have halo 3. but still, a good point. the halo series are my favorite multiplayer games.
