Say you were to jump a sweet speedboat off an even sweeter ramp, then climb onto that speedboat and shoot a rocket at a dude in a tower (which is a real thing that happens in Just Cause 2) for 15 to 20 hours. Afterward, if someone asked you how much more time you wanted to spend doing things like that, we imagine the answer would be "a lot." Perhaps it's no coincidence, then, that that's exactly how much DLC lead designer Peter Johansson tells Eurogamer is coming to the Just Cause 2: "a lot."
And that's on top of all the content already on the game disc, which, by all external signs, is pretty darn imposing. Johannsson claims that his 60-percent-complete save file is about 55 game hours worth of playtime, which, if you let the math play out, means that if you were to play all 100 percent of the game, it would take roughly 73,000 hours. Roughly.

Well I think they can expect "a lot" of people to not purchase this garbage.

Played the heck out of the demo last night. Pure fun once I got the controls down. I love just how absurd the action is but was a total blast. I wont be able to get this at launch but will get it soon enough.

Maybe I'm too easily impressed, but when I see demo videos of the gameplay below ,especially when you are high above the map, it feels like a next-gen game already!

Not sure how many people tried the demo- but I picked it up and played for a few hours. Although I am really excited by this game- pulling off some of the stuff they had in the videos floating around is going to be REALLY tough. I consider myself pretty adept with games requiring a lot of hand eye coordination, but man, these controls and timing is going to take some getting used to- especially to pull off all the crazy stuff they have shown.

I too tried the demo and am having a hard time understanding how to play this game. I tried attacking a single area to cause as much damage as possible, but am always overwhelmed by the military that shows up. There does not seem to be any duck and cover components so I wonder if the point is to attack an area, parachute away to another area, and repeat. Anyone?

@Dave T
Try to get in the mindset of older action games- you know the ones where you have to go around beating people up and try not to get hit by dodging, running, jumping(grappling!). Or just think GTA only better...
I think we have grown too accustomed to all the cover components in video games these days. This brings it back...

This movie screams 80s Action Movie to me. The voice acting is atrocious and hammy but you are encouraged to do some ridiculous shit like attach yourself to a helicopter, jump off of it, and blow up a radio communications tower. Awesome.

100% on the original just meant mindless repetition taking over outposts... I hope they've done away with that.
I still need to play the demo, but I'll pick this up for sure.

I'm actually expecting Nomura-styled wardrobe and vehicle options. Like a big-ass ornate sword or Cloud's motorcycle.
Or a chocobo-'fro hairdo for Rico.
Yes, I still can't get used to the Square Enix logo whenever I start up the demo.

Boy I love being constantly poor and missing out on this tidal wave of new releases. I played the demo of this already, and the exploratory mechanics were just phenomenally fun to play around with. Surfing on pedestrian cars, and grappling them onto nearby obstacles to cause them to violently sling into the air never gets old.

I want this game, but after Battlefield BC2 and GOWIII, it'll need to wait.
I assume you are joking, but you're math is way off. It would be around 92 hours to get 100 percent at that rate. Which is still quite a lot! Looking forward to this probably this summer

The modding community is already going nuts with this game. They've already removed the strength limitations on the wire and added in even more wires.

For those you surprised to see Square Enix as publisher, get used to it. Companies grow, buy other companies, expand into new markets. Mergers =\= making every brand the same, otherwise you'd lose the benefits of diversity and can invite antitrust attention in some countries.

I would pay just about anything for a multiplayer add-on mode for this game. I'm addicted to the demo already, for crying out loud.
