Actually, Eyepet is generally regarded as an easy to medium game to platinum.

The easiest games are usually thought to be something like Terminator Salvation, Disney's UP, Hannah Montana, Ice Age 3, Fritz Chess, Trivial Pursuit, WWE Wrestlemania, and a few others, as they can mostly be platinumed under say 6-8 hours.

Everytime joystiq posts about this i remember The Getaway and that other super cool 3rd person shooter that was canned for this game...

they are still going to come out. There was an article posted on Joystiq a while back saying they were pushed to the "back-burners" for this game but they will eventually see the light of day. Of course that's the story with Duke Nukem Forever too but I hope they do make a comeback.

Actually I'd rather have Eyedentify than Eight Days. The original concept with added Move controls could have been cool.

Still, The Getaway and Eight Days haven't been canceled so they can still come out. Eyedentify, on the other hand, was recently canceled.

Wait what? Eyedentify was cancelled? LINK!! I thought that would have made a pretty neat PSN game. Seems like the perfect episodic setup. 10-20 escapades with your team. You get trophies and stuff to customize them after 7 or so episodes you start linking up the little worlds that people are playing in for multiplayer (Imagine the core of that game but Co-op ... or competitive!) then build a community around these little things. It's basically The Agency lite for casual players.

Damnit Sony why?

Jesus. Look at that thing! Is there a button that turns the Playstation Move into a flaming torch? Because my first instinct is to KILL IT WITH FIRE.

Trust me, its one of those games (albeit fleetingly) one that you become addicted too, its short fun basically.

I still have it, not sold it, as now and then, as a change of pace, I will get my pet out and just glory at some of the things he does.

The mini-games contained can be quite tricky.
... plus, for £20, I was happy with it! Good little tech demo all in all.

It would be better if you could customize your pet entirely. If you had a kind-of Spore-like character creator. Also, I hope people who already purchased (and subsequently regretted) the Playstation Eye don't get screwed out of all these bundles.

No we won't. Sony made it clear at GDC that the Move controller will be sold on its own for those that already have the Eye.

this game looks so awesome. I'm 24 and it still appeals to me a LOT because of the sheer tech behind it and the novelty of it. It'll be cool to show off to my family when they come over and now that it has Move support even more reason to do that! I love unique games that aren't afraid to innovate and be different and this one looks amazing.

This is great technology being wasted here. I have harder and bigger ideas. I'm thinking PORNO here people! Can you imagine, instead of that little furry thing. A beautifully rendered woman. That you can manipulate with Playstation move, feel her hope. Make her do things. You're own virtual slave woman. I know what you're thinking. This guys a genius! I should copyright this idea. In case someone from the Porn industry is reading my post.

So what Sony has done is turn a $60 game with a peripheral into a $90 game with TWO peripherals. They aren't even changing the gamely, just what it requires you to have to play it.

I fail to see how a consumer should be happy about this.

(Prices are estimated but likely still optimistic at best.)

I'm guessing cause you are now buying into a platform rather than a one off Peripherial ? The Eyepet card will never ever be used for anything else but the Move will apparently have other uses then watering the bastard child of Monkeys, Monchihi and Trico. Not a bad trade off for an extra controller.

This is really nice to hear. My experience with the Eyepet mainly comes from watching my five year old daughter wash, dress and feed cookies to the one she 'hatched' back on Christmas day.

The only thing that hampers her enjoyment is the often finicky software that picks up the magic card; the slightest tilt up or downwards can sometimes be enough to cause the virtual apparatus she is using to disappear completely!

Nice to know that for the entry fee of one move controller (which I was most likely going to buy anyway) that I can greatly enhance her enjoyment with her strange, fuzzy monkey/cat thing.

Look at the Vision camera for the 360, look at the mentioned PS3 camera. Both companies promised they would support these items, yet when they hit the market it bombed and they just completely forgot about them.

What makes you think this $60-70 controler will be any different?

You honestly think either MS or Sony will get any traction this fall when these things are released? Three motion controling options, 1 proven and wildly sucsessfull yet losing steam now and 2 new expensive add on devices all trying for the same gaming dollar?

It won't be a pretty picure in next years shareholdr meetings for at least two of these companies.
