Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep to be born unto the U.S. this summer

Square Enix is sure hoping that the recent release of its long-in-production RPG hasn't caused you to forget about its other long-in-production RPG: The PSP-exclusive Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. The company recently sent a jolt through the series' dormant U.S. fan base by announcing that the title will come stateside sometime this summer.

According to Squeenix's press release announcement, the North American version of the game will include new features, such as "an extra boss and additional multiplayer options," as well as something called "Crown Stickers." That certainly sounds like powerful weapon in the fight against the Heartless. We hear those guys hate stickers.

If the Heartless were actually in the game, I`m sure they`d be terrified.

I wanna know when it comes out in the UK. Going by KH2 logic, January 2011.

The thing I don't like about PSP Go is they always charge full retail where amazon discounts new DS games and you could buy them used from ebay cheap.

that's why we have the psp 3000 so we can buy cheap games on ebay too.

Yep, that's the reason I cling to my 2000 (among many others, mind you.) But on the flip side, there are some older out-of-print games that are quite expensive to acquire, yet are now on the PSN store for around $10.

That is possibly the worst title I have ever heard.

I dunno... Wild Woody, Sticky Balls, and Beyond The Beyond are also pretty bad.

Birth by Sleep is a fine title. Unique, but not TOO unique.

It might be just me, but Birth by Sleep sounds like some sort of euphemism.

You know the one.

The one with "the stuff" that make you go to sleep and rape.

If I remember correctly (been a long time since I've played Kingdom Hearts), Roxas was kind of a dream and not a "real" person, so "Birth by Sleep" is actually a really good title. Someone's sleeping (or dreaming) caused him to be born.

Stickers worked out for Brawl, I guess.

I really hope this comes out in the PSN or I will be even more pissed with my stupid PSP Go...

What games AREN'T on PSN? The library is huge last time I checked. But yea sometimes the games aren't added immediately =/

The amount of games that could be listed that are not on the PSN would cause your head to melt clean off your shoulders.

New features over the japanese? Wait, let me take a look in the old history books here...

...Uh oh, KH: Birth By Sleep Final Mix incoming for Japan only, with 12 hours of extra context, 7 new difficulty modes, 12 new keyblades, and 15 hours of extra cutscenes that help explain things. :<

...And I actually really liked 358/2. I bought a PSP to play BbS.

We should all know what "new to the North American version" means for KINGDOM HEARTS: Japan's gonna get double-dipped with our version and exponential extras that we'll never see.

I tried several times to like this series but it just couldn't win me over

I loved the first one when it came out, but I was left unimpressed by all the others.

Same. The novelty wore off for me a few hours into the second one. (after the hour or so of ridiculous "chores")
