There was a time when we had no idea furries loved this stuff, and we were just talking about kobolds or Disney characters...
Now we can't unsee what the furries are thinking when half-animals show up on any media...

It was a golden era, to be sure -- a time of innocence. I loved Tail-Concerto "back in the day", but now, looking back, those great memories are rubbed-out by knowledge of all those damned furries out there incessantly "yiffing" to the game. Sorry for the pun...

There's "rule 34" (porn) of everything...
- Klingon-speaking basement-dwellers have been writing Star Trek Kirk-Spock slash fiction for decades, that didn't keep me away from last year's movie.
- Perverts have been posting disturbing comments about Emma Watson (underaged actress) since the first Harry Potter movie, but I manage to ignore that and just see the character Hermione.
- I've even seen Wall-E porn (I kid you not!) but I don't let that interfere with my enjoyment of that movie.
Fans have nothing to do with the game or movie, so why let them interfere with your enjoyment of the game or movie?

Rule 34 can be ignored for the most part.
When I play any game or watch anything, I don't immediately think of rule 34 despite that it exists.

Even when I think about it, it doesn't bother me too much: That's their weird business, not mine.

Furries however... they stand out more than the S&M crowd and love to "spread their influence" in several areas. They're prouder than most lesbians I've met, yet creepier in almost every aspect. ...not to mention: Once a game has a big capability to create or play as a half-animal, they literally take over it - create several fanfictions that get large enough to be found near the top of the Google searches - create enough images to be instantly found if you're browsing for images of the game - and most of all: If it's an MMO - they form a large enough populace that they often scare off several players from wanting to play it.

So yeah. Rule 34 schmule 34, it can be ignored.
...it's hard to ignore a man jumping around in an animal costume making "cute animal sounds". ...it's strangely easier to ignore p--is f---er-n-.
