Eh I fell for the hype of this game and so did most of the guys that I work with, did not live up to expectations. Out of 12 of us that got the game only 1 has kept it with the rest trading it in. 24 players is not enough, the gimmick of destructible environments gets old when everyone uses a vehicles and only chatting with your squad gets old especially if its just you and one other guy. Its a descent game, but I and those that I know personally don't see why the boards seem to like this game so much.

DICE would like to thank you and your 11 friends who bought the game. Thanks for contributing to this remarkable sales feat and helping to make sure the team at DICE continues to give gamers a brilliant gaming experience.

GameStop would also like to thank you as shown in this post:

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/18/gamestop-enjoys-9-08-billion-in-sales-in-fy2009-377-million-p/

And lastly, I Captain Planet would like to thank you. You'll notice that the DVD containers that hold your game discs are now made with 30% less plastic. This helps reduce your carbon footprint on our wonderful planet. Also, by choosing to trade in your used games instead of tossing them out, reduces the volume of waste at our landfills.

Remember, the Power is YOURS!

I think I'll pick this up today. MW2 is great but after 100+ level ups its starting to get old.

The banter's pretty good, but the really funny stuff is the "idle" discussions the other three squadmates have when you stand around for 30 seconds or so. There's some in this link, but be warned that some of the conversation is about someone who died in the scene previous, so spoilers beware.

If you take some downtime in the campaign you'll hear some really great dialogue. You have to stop and listen.

FF13 is around 650,000 between the PS3 and 360. I'm not sure it'll catch up before the end of the month.

Good to see a developer like DICE get their moment in the sun. Great multiplayer experience. Can't wait to see the multiplayer for Medal of Honor. I think Dice is doing that too, not the campaign though. Another studio is doing that.

Gears of War is epic? lolololololololololololol

Yes, Bad Company 2 online can be pretty epic. I wouldn't say the single player campaign was epic although it was certainly some of the most fun I've had on a single player FPS.

God of War is also epic to guy who said that. I started God of War 3 last and I am speechless at how dynamic the environments are. I just need to get it finished up so I can get back to Bad Company 2 online.

@Grey Yah. The Final Fantasy series has never been that as popular as it is in Japan than it is here. More people in Japan would rather play Dragon Quest. And since FFXIII is more accessible here in The States and other territories (since it's available on Xbox and PS3), I'm sure the sales numbers will be high.

BFBC2 selling 2.3 million in 16 days. Japan sold 1.7 million FFX13 copies in 14 days. Pretty sure neither GoW2 or FF13 will outsell BFBC2. Stranger things have happened though.

idk...you do realize that America has a crapload more people than Japan right? and ff13 was only released on the ps3 in japan. I'm not claiming that final fantasy will win, I'm just saying don't count them out yet.
p.s. it's GOW 3 :P

hmmmmm not bad.....and even tho I have a feeling that God of War 3 has done that already Globally(as damn near 90 of 100 of my friends on PSN have it) BFBC2 has been out longer and is more more than one platform....and as a shooter it could easily be the best selling game this month....

now had FF13 had a GLOBAL release this month at the beginning of the month, I'm pretty sure it would have sold more....

I never understood why publishers brag about their multiplatform titles being best sellers when they clearly have an advantage over console exclusives. I would be much more impressed if a title was the bestseller on each console (and I look forward to seeing the true numbers for BFBC2)

excuses Aggro? for what? facts are facts....and fact is that if a Multiplatform game DOESN'T "outsell" a console exclusive then then chances are thats not a good thing for the game on numerous platforms....

FF13 sold over 1.5 million copies in its first month out in Japan....and I'm fairly certain that in is already done that on both platforms in the rest of the world....maybe even twice that....

You could take the route of dividing sales. That'd average to 766,667 sales per platform. Doesn't sound so crazy then does it?

Now you are simply trying to turn the tables. With the amount of excitement, high review scores, etc, that does make the game good does it not? It's the way you are going about saying it. Had you stated something like "FF13 really isn't my type of game" no one would be here arguing your opinion. You're simply out to attack the game is all.

Would love to know how well the PC version did... which should be the platform of choice for a top class shooter like this (providing you have a PC that is - extra Hires graphics and better player counts for example). I still expect more copies to have been sold on consoles though (such is the nature of the times sadly).

Now all we need is a working server browser because the one we have is pathetic (just like every DICE game)
