http://bfbcs.com/BFBC2_leaderboard/pc

if this site is any indication, the PC version outsold the xbox and ps3 version.

and yes, bu.rogers is a stat padder, who hopefully will be banned.

So BC2 release sells numbers before GoW3 and FF13 have something to say about it?

Well who cares, I love all three (and abbreviations apparently) March was bananas!

Right. On a side note, isn't it weird that a follow-up to a good-but-not-great game suddenly received such a huge following from the gaming community? It's almost like MW2 was too popular and gamers did that stupid thing where they started hating it because everyone else like it. But. . .nah, they couldn't possibly be that juvenile and socially elitist, right?

@Aggro

How is Final Fantasy overrated? Because it isn't your cup of tea? Great reason.

And MW2 would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling F(R)AGS.

FFXIII is not overrated it's 8 out of 10 and it delivers..i'm having a blast with this game and FFXIII much more longer than BC2..Bad company 2 is good game but it's rental for me coz i don't play shooters online and a single player is short.

I'm new, so I'll keep it short: This game is incredible and I hope it continues to sell well. I think in this case EA is trying to grab people who were on the fence about the game, or who weren't aware of it. Like it or not, most people will buy a game if they think it's a massive sales hit (high sales/popularity = good game). These people are the same type of people who buy whatever is popular in other mediums, like music, movies, and fashion. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, I think it's just how most people are.

I believe it's a mixture of people moving to BFBC2 and back to MW1 or W@W. MW2 made a lot of people unhappy.

Yeah FF XIII was over rated. It was the exact same game as COD MW2... oh wait, it wasn't.

that's great and all, congrats the game is excellent, DICE as usualy makes great games it must be something in the water over their.

the only problem is

as of 8:00 AM this morning East Coast, NYC i am still not able to play online multi-player on the 360 at all. No STATS NO UNLOCKS NO NOTHING JUST "CAN NOT CONNECT TO EA SERVERS". four nights different times and nothing, nothing from either DICE or EA acknowledging this either im sick of checking their twitter account only to be feed more marketing about how great a game i already want to play is.

I realize this is a networking issue and thus not DICE issue, but from a branding standpoint you mock MW2 which is fine, but MW2 was down for a day on release, which is acceptable this is going on four. It seems less like a game play issue ( ie to many "users") and more like EA draconian requirements to register every user that plays their games on their servers and this is creating a bottleneck with authentication into the game servers themselves, which is why when BC2 loads you don't get new icons for stats etc, if this wasn't the case i believe the game would work fine, so EA get over trying to monetize the game beyond what it will handle, ie i don't need the game to not work will you figure out how to make as much money with the data as you already knew you were going to make.

Also don't make excuses about we didn't think it would be this big etc, the demo was download over 2 million times in a week, so it doesn't take a network engineer to figure out that they should make the exception and increase bandwidth access for this game for the entire month of its release. The fault clearly lies with the publisher EA, and if you continue to not plan for this, from my point of view i'll just wait it out and you'll get my money three - five weeks post release, and that will effect their bottom line, no more record breaking debuts.

according to them the game is "fixed". but i still after four days of trying have not been able to play one online game, which BC2 is dont tell me its got a single player too BF is a online game, it's gotten bad enough that i've gone back to l4d2.

I dunno I'm on the east coast too and I have had no problems. Maybe a ram cache clear would help? I have no idea really I just like to sound like I'm helping.

Id say try the temp cache clear, if that doesn't work try just the game data. I've been able to play for hours on end the past 5 nights or so. I really can't guarentee that the clearing will work but it's the only thing I can think of that may help short of reconfoobling your router settings.

You're simply an ignorant person is all, Aggro. You cannot give constructive criticism to a game even if you do not like it. Therefor you are not a true gamer. You simply do not enjoy something so it automatically sucks to you. Can't accept that a good game was made, but it isn't for you.

Maybe the gaming community has just come to their senses and realized that guns and vehicles are cooler than big swords and soap opera drama.

But, then again, we do have the MGS series that pairs guns AND soap opera drama... and now a fairy totin' a sword... hmmm...

More meat heads will buy Bad Company then Final Fantasy. Look what happened to Heavy Rain, awesome story, innovative controls, no one is playing it. Aside from the Pokemon releases, God of War 3 is the only contender.

Not enough to tide me over after going through the story a couple of times. Traded it in for BFBC2

ya know.....had he not attacked me I would have thought he was Tmac....lol...but me and TMac are cool so it cant be him....

dude we understand some people don't like JRPGs....but to say its crappy simply because you dont like it isn't the way to go.....

sure I have said that Crackdown was shit to me....and yes its fun when playing with friends...but when I said that I wasn't saying that the game was indeed shit...just that to me it was which doesnt affect the mass consensus on the game...

Fantastic game. I haven't been this hooked on a multiplayer game in AGES. I am actually shocked how reluctant I was to jump into God Of War 3.

I still did though.

I can say I moved from Mw2 to BC2 and then back to MAG. MW2 is fun if you can forget about the K/D ratio, BC2 if you like the destructible environments but MAG is where I got to for teamwork play even if there aren't a lot of maps.

I still can't wrap my mind around why the characters in the Final Fantasy series look like "extreme" snowboarders. More to the point, why do people think that's a good look for a character?

friggin muppets.

I actually shoot teammates that run AWAY from disarming our objectives. If you arent with us, you're against us.

and i have noticed, if no one on your side is in a squad, you can in-game chat with everyone on the team. So plug in your mics please.

I've thought about buying a mic expressly for the purpose of verbally abusing my teammates into playing correctly. I played 6 matches yesterday and lost all but one because everyone on my team seemed to be sniping. I think the special sauce in the one victorious match was that the enemy team was more incompetent than mine.

Everyone is focused on their kills and points. Guess what? When you play as a team and WIN, you GET MORE POINTS.

And I think I'll start shooting incompetent teammates now too. Good call. I'll add them to my viable targets list, right next to children who use mics and talk to themselves nonstop.

So, should I be selling back my copy of MW2 and buying this?
I WON'T have both, but until the next SOCOM comes out, I need a decent multiplayer FPS.
