While the Joystiq staff hasn't experienced a game-ending Heavy Rain crash, there are a number of vocal members of the PlayStation forums that have reported some serious issues, most notably save file corruption. Quantic Dream is working on a new patch for the adventure game, one that "address a range of minor issues," but isn't "targeted purely at the issues reported." According to Sam_Protagonist, SCEE has had difficulty in reproducing the reported bugs, but hopes that the patch should fix various "contributing factors" that may be at the root of Heavy Rain's issues. "We're optimistic that this patch resolves your problems but cannot guarantee that this will be the case."
Development on the patch is now complete, and is undergoing the "final stages of testing." Let's hope the patch actually does its job -- otherwise, angry Heavy Rain owners will be left with nothing to play but Press X to Jason.

You can't play the game unless you put in the patch though...
Besides, that's what xvideos.com is for. =D

I didnt have any issues but once. First game play it froze and i had to reboot but after that nothing. There are times when you pause the game the audio skips for a second but noting serious.

Hopefully it patches the game ending plot holes! Eh? Anyone? No?

When I first completed the game and when I started my second run-through of the final few chapters, I thought it was full of plot holes too. By the time I saw all the endings and played through all chapters again from the beginning, well... look, it's not the BEST story in the world, but it's not THAT bad. It's not as bad as it may seem. Like many have said, compared to movies, the story could have been better, but compared to other games, the story is outstanding. (And honestly, the voice acting was more distracting than any plot errors.)

I only remember having one crash issue, but as long as this "patch" doesn't make things worse like some do on occasion, I'll be happy.
At least it's no Indigo Prophecy; i had three copies of that game glitch at the exact same point on PS2 before I opted to buy a cheap PC copy and download a save to skip the broken section.

Guess I was lucky, the only problem I had was sound cutting out now and then. It seemed to pick up where it left off so I didn't miss any dialogue. Oh yeah and I had one other glitch, two times there was supposed to be video playing on a TV or cell phone screen but they were just blank.

Patch? More like a fix. That game stalls into 5 minutes of game play in increments.
No site has reported on it. Many players have complained on Sony PS3 board, but
the only word on troubles I have seen is this site.

just getting that out of the way :)
anyways i like this game sure it has plot holes and i didn't realize this till on my 2nd playthrough as someone else mentioned above me and also i'l say the exact same thing as they did as well after words. the game isn't that bad it's breath taking and it deserves props for doing something new then have a military FPS and other type of FPS games.
now if only we can get a 3d rapping dog on how driving a car or how to pick up chicks then alll is ok on my end
